New User Problem

Hello all,

I bought Keyclone, followed the guide but my toons still won't both cast at the same time. They do follow each other around, but the problem I'm having is that when I target with the main, and then press the "2" key to cast a spell...only my main casts it and then alt does not. Everything else seems to be working so far. Could someone shed some light on this? I hope this hasn't already been answered, I looked through some of the sticky's and am frustrated!

Also, I read a guide which states that in the Program Files/World of Warcraft/WTF folder I need to make 2 new files called "1boxing.wtf" and "2boxing.wtf" do I need to do that? Besides doing that I have followed the guide from the Keyclone website. Thanks!

Do they jump at the same time? (i.e. press spacebar and see if they both jump)

Did you set up an [url=http://dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Macros#Assist_Macros]assist macro[/url]? If your characters jump, but do not cast -- and you have not set up an assist button -- you might want to check out [url='http://vboxing.net/v/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=19']this video guide[/url].

I'm at work but will check tonight to see if they jump and go from there. Thanks for the post, seems like there are alot of posts on this board which is nice!

I tested out my setup and the alt doesn't jump. The only thing it does correctly is follow the main. Right now frustration sets in as I'm not sure where that leaves me. I'm not a great mind when it comes to this!

Ok, my toon now jumps along with the main. I followed the Quick Start Guide posted on this site. I still haven't figured out how to get my alt to assist the main and attack his target.

On the alt (sham) I assigned his lightning bolt spell to the "2" on the keyboard. Then, on my main (Warrior) I put his attack in the "2" as well. So I thought that with keyclone if I hit the "2" key the main would attack and then the alt would also attack.

I'm making some progress as I have some other basic macros working. I'm also going to look back at the prior post by Vyndree because she said that might help if the alt jumps but doesn't attack. Sorry for being such a noob, does anyone else have an idea on what I'm doing wrong here?

Do you have an assist macro setup?

Your slave toon needs to have assist macros for all of their attacks and spells buddy...

This is what I use on my slave for my 2x Shaman team:

#showtooltip Lightning Bolt
/assist Lexí
/cast Lightning Bolt

Only you would be replacing 'Lexí' with your warrior's name, and Lightning Bolt with whatever spell you so desire your slave to cast. Remember, you have to do this with EVERY spell you want your slave to target your main's target with (all Shock spells, Chain Lightning, etc).
