Priest +4 locks Qs

Hi folks, first, thanks for the site and all the good help here! I'm looking for advice from 5-man lock config folks.

I'm five man'd up to lvl 21 and having a blast, priest lead and 4 lock support. I'm doing everything on one PC (over a year old PC, above ave graphics card but nothing tremendous, ping me if you want config of my environ, works great for instance leveling, running through Ogrimmar sucks and not sure what I'll do at 69 in AV...).

Was curious about talent recommendations. I've been lazy and just going up affliction for all of the locks, doing straight holy for priest, was thinking at 50 switching over to at least one if not all locks over to demonology for felhunters, then at 69 for pvp gear grind going all afflication or ?? I have solo 70s shammy and warrior, never leveled up locks before though, and not in five man so looking at stam bonuses in demonology looks sexy but the dps in affliction for now seems to be working well.

I've found in instances (spamming SFK atm) having them all summon voids best, spam agony and corruption (immolate if time) and then wand until dead. Curious for feedback if I'm missing a better strategy (is there a write-up posted?) I've tried one void and the rest succ/imps, but I end up doing too much work and burning through soul stones, although fights do go faster.

Also, I'm finding I'm overlooking my soul stone expiration on my priest too often (ack whipes and runs yuck). Is there a good UI add on that has a soul stone watch? I need somethign that pops up in bold letters or something to remind me. Just happening way too often -

When I leveled mine, I went up high enough for insta-corruption, rest demonology until 50, then specced felguards and crept back up to insta-corruption again. My current miscellaneous worldPVP/PVE/anti-gank spec I'm running now can be armoried.

How do you plan to spec when expansion comes out? I too am running priestx1 lockx4 raf group (currently sitting at level 30) and i believe i am going to go the same path as you with how you had your locks setup.

Soul link moving and the other options that are coming around make the 4 lock group alot more world pvp friendly (playing alliance on Thunderlord PVP us)..

Thoughts?

Kinda depends, though. If the shadowbolt volley is awesome enough, I might just go 51/20. :P

Wouldn't it be worth it to have at least 1 imp for Blood Pact?

Newp. That's what the priest is for. Blood Pact in PVP just doesn't matter a hill of beans, IMO. When you're getting hit for 1000-4000 per hit, a few hundred HPs means I get 6-shot instead of 7-shot. By that time, the fight is usually already over. /shrug

For PVE, yes, but not for PVP, IMO. I'm sure others would disagree.

If it was me I'd spec full afflict then go destro.
Dark pact = so very very tasty, plus if your priest is holy you will be getting CoH eventually, which means you can life tap till the cows come home (or till you get fizzled, whichever comes first).

Instant corruption, instant aoe fear, lots of dots and pain and stuff.

played locks up to lvl 35 ish and found that affliction, though my FAV lock build just didn't suit me well for boxing. Seemed like shadowbolt spam was the way to go. Easier to macro and very little micro managing in terms of dot dot, tap, drain, tap, drain, redot, etc

sb spam is basically SB, SB, SB, SB..... or toss a corruption up to start with if you feel like it. Really easy and great DPS.
