why do you ask isnt the answer provided from the gm good enough?
"Not exactly intended. It's still supposed to have relatively the same knock back distance, just we toned down the knock "up" effect. Should be fixed in the next build."

The GM answer is vague. He says "relativly the same distance" so that could be uh 12, 14 , 16, 18, 20...whatever the GM considers relativly the same distance. Also the fact that it's vertical is also being lowered shows overall lowered duration of knockback.

You can't nerf an ability which hasn't hit live servers yet. :)
