there can be any combo you can think of, just don't do 2 melee if you are new.

Paladin/Druid
as long as your druid is going to be a boomkin, or at least a healer you should be fine. I don't have any experience with pallys boxing or playing regular, i can't stand them so i can't help you there.
I don't really understand why people ask such questions. Which is better play fumblebot or snugglebot? BTW, I don't play either and don't know how to use them. Play classes you know or are willing to learn. If you actually played a druid, you know how it works. Yeah, they can heal. Yeah they are ranged. I wouldn't melee with them if I had a choice. What else is there to ask about them? Now if you never played one, what is that going to mean to you? They heal with a sneeze spell and use snot as an attack. That doesn't help much does it. Then maybe, you go try a combination on your own and see what works. If you can't get it work for you, stop and try another. There aren't many combinations that won't work. Some are annoying, but if they are your style, then just don't listen to other people. I play 5 melee/resto shammies. Only times it sucks is 5 elites my level that run around, range and cast in 2 schools. I earthshock them, but they cast in a different school and run away. I melee the guys down, but then they run away also and range (shoot) me. Using melee isn't bad or hard, it is the melee that moves that sucks. I use 5 hunters. Oh no, what about wipes. Well, I have destroyed all instances up to DM east. No deaths. Okay, about 4 pet deaths total, but still. Just use what works for you and stop asking what works, they all work.
Alright, lets break this down into a couple things here:
1.) Weak classes commonly are: Any classes without a healer, any class with the letter "a" in it and any classes with a healer.
2.) Most of the people are only recently joining and therefore have the new 3 times xp bonus from RaF.
3.) It takes about 18-24 hours to level a pair up to 30. By level 30, you should have most of the skills of your class and decide if you like it or not. If you don't, just grab another pair, and if you have levels to grant, don't forget about that.
And for the record, snugglebot is the best class to play. Hands down.
