From my experience SM has really been great. I am average 400xp in cath from around lvls 35-41. I guess alot of is going to depend on what kinda toon you have to boost you.
I started my team last Thursday. Ive done all quests, 4 warlocks, and only done the instance once when I get all those quests. Im 44 now, will hit 47 tonite, 52 tomorrow. Questing is a lot easier on your sanity
If you want to run with 5boxes, quests are way faster. If you get boosted, well, don't know. But quests will be more fun :)
Every time I went to an instance, my XP/h dropped a lot. So, I'd suggest that you do those instances you like, just so you get used to handling the usual PvE problems, like run-aways, etc.
x5 shaman team......
1) quested to 38
2) cath for gears to 43
played is 22 hours total
Next
3) tanaris 45-47
4) searing gorge 47-49
5) ungoro 49 - 53
6) brd trash 53-58.
After about 53 with ungoro cleared many of the quests are way too spread out to really work on the synergy and will need alot of running around. I rolled on a new server so i dont have mounts and little gold that i have goes to training. Zones are easy you can send a toon back to sell and then just summon back. Zero down time zero running
Get powerleveled until L38-40, then quest from 40-60. Contrary to other experiences, where I've always left for outlands at L58, I recommend staying on the mainland until L60. Do non-collection quests in the appropriate zones and you'll fly through the levels.
Then prepare for a big screeching halt at L60.... it's a little depressing, actually.
Just make another team and get them to 60... Then wait for the nerf in 60-70 levelling :)Quote:
