RAF Questions + 4 boxing
Since they introduced RAF, I am deciding to take the plunge and do some quad boxing. My system is a beefy laptop that can support 4 WoW fairly well running the clones from an external HDD and the main from the Laptop HDD. I wanna go with 4 mages for my initial rush, then i have a 38 paladin that I wanna level up also, I wanna take 3 shaman as clones with him if possible b/c i already have a 70 shaman and this would let me quad shaman and mages once all are 70.
These are my questions:
How would the best way to set this up be? Vet + Friend x 2 or Vet + 3 friends?
Would the shaman get the triple XP bonus from a 38 paladin killing murlocs in Dustwallow Marshe?
The mobs are not trivial so how would they need to be linked?
Also with the shaman, my 70 is a tauren, should I make his clones Orcs or Tauren also? Obviously having 4x War Stomps seems nice but might not be so multibox friendly as the nuking potential of 3x Blood Rage + 1 War Stomp.

its completely up to you and what you like to do.
just a quick question, a laptop wont be able to support 4 boxes properly as the laptop is small and will suffer from heat problems. make 4 and take them into orgimmar. i can run around flawlessly without lag, that includes running in.
good luck choosing what you think works best for you.

I run on a laptop 5 instances without major problems (gateway fx 6860 from june and there is newer much improved one since - I do have raid0 disk and use symlink for my wow data folders though which maybe helps)
my fps does drop in cities but it's working where I quest (shat is a bit painful; I do seem to drop follow there sometimes because of lag)

Yea, i got a 1530 XPS so it runs 4 copies fairly well. The main thing that sucks for me is the latency since I am playing on a US server in Bahrain(deployed military) but at least my computer doesn't suck. I may consider upgrading to a dual box set up I decide to do some serious PvP with these characters, 1 for the main, one for the clones.
