Sort of a PSA about RAF or Syro found a bug....

So I'm questing with my PvE team (paladin, two mages, warlock, and a priest) when I go to turn in Vorrel's Revenge in Tauren Mill. I knew turning in this quest would cause all my guys to level since they were close. I use Multiboxer to send gossip notes to my slaves, so I opened up the window with the NPC on each toon, then turned in the quest, everyone leveled except for two slaves.

My setup, Syromotiona refered Syromotionc, and Syromotionb refered two players Syromotiond and Syromotione. D and E did not level, but A, B, and C did. I found out that the D and E didn't receive the triple XP bonus even though I met all the criteria. So I put in a trouble ticket for both toons, and the GM I talked to was of no help whatsoever. He said, "here's a link, read about the RAF" of which it didn't have anything about a recruit not receiving the bonus when the veteran levels even though the recruits meet the criteria, and (s)he emails me with, "Correct, if the veteran levels before the Recruit, the Triple XP isn't given." Oh, really? Well, that sure is interesting since Syromotiona and Syromotionc leveled at the same time doing the same thing! After being trying to be cordial with the GM, I knew I wasn't getting anywhere, so I sent an email to GM feedback and also an email to wow support hoping someone will realize this error and fix it.

So a heads up, to you guys, if you have a veteran toon that's a little about the recruits in XP, turn in the quests for the recruits first before the veteran.

*Edit: Here's a question to make this a little more interactive. I know the RAF bonus ends after 90 days, but does it also end when the recruit account gets a 60? So should I level up to 59 before starting a new group to level up?

The bonus only ends for that toon at 60. It's still there on the account i.e. if you started up 2 (or however many) more.

According to all the FAQ's I've read on this, that should not be the case:

The linked accounts all receive 300% xp, when they are grouped, within xp-range, and doing quests that are not trivial(grey) to either of the accounts. And a highlvl boosting with an account that is not linked, is due to be fixed.

If toonA dings before toonB, toonA stops receiving 300% xp until toonB catches up.

I have seen no indication of any difference between being a Veteran vs Recruit, except that only the recruit saves up Gift-lvls and the Veteran is the only one who can receive them.

Having leveled manually from 1-60 on my 4 shaman teams I've noticed this twice in all my turn ins, and I dinged twice by turn in for every time I dinged by kill XP.

For a LONG time the two vet accounts were 1 300% quest behind.... then around 40 it flipped and the vet accounts were ahead...

One thing I did notice, and correct me if I'm wrong... but when the accounts were different levels, they both would get 300% xp for kills and quests even though the higher level shouldn't have...

I've noticed the same occurrence a couple times with different groups.
I had been speculating that it might have been due to a quest that was green before a turn in, and then became trivial after the first to completes it and levels.

Though now that that I look back it does seem like every time it happened if I turned in the quest with the veteran account first. I did manually catch up one of the shaman since it bit me on a 30k reward and that much of a disparity was bugging me.

I got my team to 40 so far and never saw that; and 1 or more member of my team is always 1 level behind or ahead [which bugs me, but that's a different topic] yet they still all get 3x xp in whichever order I return the quest; the only time it didn't happen for me was when I had hearted out to do repairs and turned in a cloth quest and then "opsa" because I had wasted the 3x because the peer toon wasn't around (so always remember to have everybody around when turning in) [well that and some green/grey quests where nobody got it]

I don't use a booster.

There was a blue post, I think in the RAF FAQ, stating that they both get 300% unless there was a 4 level difference. I know originally it was any difference. But I also know for sure it got changed. My first pair on a trial were off because I forgot trail accounts stopped at 20. After I upgraded they both still got the full 300% for everything. I was actually hoping they would catch up and equalize.

So, you either found a bug or it changed again.

This happened to me once, too. What happened is that my veteran account leveled, which made the quest I was turning in trivial to him, and therefore, the 300% is disabled for you other toons. Either way you turn-in, you're going to have the same issue, I think.

After this happened, I always make sure I turned in the lowest level quests first when turning in a batch so I didn't grey anything out, if possible.

I've had no problems with RAF XP bonus and quest turn ins all the way to 60. but as someone speculated, if a character leveled and the quest turned gray it may have resulted in the RAf system seeing it as trivial. So the character now yet turned in would only get deminished XP. While I was questing I moved to a new zone when the mobs / quests stopped being yellow.

The quest turns trivial at lvl42, and my team is at lvl 39, they were 38 when I turned in the quest. :/
