There I was first Multibox team I had created all level 70 only a few days, I had intended to mainly PVE but I could use the S2 weapons for my team so had done some BG mainly AV.
I knew I should do some arena I knew it would go badly with zero resilience a Prot Paladin and a sl/sl lock with 3 shammys, so as you can imagine I had put it off all week… Until Last Sunday.

I created my team ‘Boxed Noobs’ I clicked enter 5 v 5 knowing its was going to be hell, I buffed up in the start area I gave my team a Health stone each I mounted I waited 3,2,1
CHARGE!

I tore into the left hand side of the arena set myself up totems out I look across gazing for my opponents and then the dread hit me, “That’s 5 shammys?.... No that’s 5 well geared s4 shammys…. Ohh look they can make a formation like me?”

Yup Who ever you were It was another 5 boxed shammy team, what were the odds? My first ever 5 man arena and my first ever 5 boxed full on PVP I get matched to another 5 boxed team?

I realised I had no chance so I did the honourable thing /wave x 5 and died.

Followed by 9 more lost matches I managed to kill one person in 9 matches….

At least you had some grounding totems down, it took a few volleys until i ripped into you xD

Lol Nice to put a person to the team, I did laugh when I saw you couldn’t believe my luck?

Your straight line formation with the totems looked wicked (although I thought crap he knows what he is doing where I don’t)

Hope we meet again, don’t worry about handing me my ass Its going to keep happening for a few more weeks who ever I meet IM in levelling greens atm ^-^

Talking Formations I only use the cross, is it of benefit to have more than one layout? Or was that to just look good?

I never use formations in arena, i tend to circle around to try and spread the magma totems a little making it tougher for a rogue to get close and get a sap off. The only formation i do have is the cross but thats only ever used in AV in the bottle necks. The 5th player i have was a dedicated healer. The only reason i used it the other day was because i knew you were a boxer and wouldnt move away from your totems, so i did the same xD

Yes I may have a pants PVP set up and even worse gear but reading these forums has really helped so much some great advise and awesome tips,
like let them come to you and don’t leave your totems.
I read on elitist Jerks some one bashing Ellay for standing for half an hour refusing to come away from his totems so I took that as gospel ?


I knew you would come to me any ways I could spam your till OMM and not make a dent :D

Generally speaking your totem farm is your safe haven, straying away from it and/or not replacing your totems once they expire is considered 'bad practice' The thing is, with multiboxing, on your team there are two people, on the other team there are 5 people. Now my mate and i know not to stray away from the farm, so there is just two of us waiting, with 5 people on the other team, someone is going to get bored and make a mistake. So yes, its a waiting game and its usually worth the wait. xD Im not shining in arena yet, i get hammered down some nights and scrape my points back on others, it really does fluctuate.

Don't worry about that m8. I was at around 350 resi and 1600 healing while the TIlce's were in greens/blues (i've been playing the same toon for 2 and a bit years, and had a lovely 5v5 in season 2) and we still got our asses fed to us.... (dropped to 1370 or so rating) :D

in fact i remember the cheer we made in game 14 when we finally killed someone.......then they ressed him.
