Mage spec

Trying to decide a mage spec for when I hit 60 with my mages (almost hitting 60 now). I think i will go for the frost pets (41 talent) for extra carnage, because 4 of those pets is a very nice addition to dps, I think. Also since the mages feel WAY more squishy then my shammys ever did, I hope it will give me more survivability. Right now I am doing fire, since lvl 54 up to 60 I will be fire, but its not really forgiving while grinding, getting a few mobs extra will almost always kill 1 mage, and since I run just the 4 mages atm, its not very handy to say the least.

what do you guys think? Main thing will be hitting 70 and dicking around on bg;s when im bored.
