A little thought about mind control

I'm sure most you you have expirienced it. It does not happen often, but when it do Mind Control can be quite annoying for a multiboxer.

I just got a little idea on how to about eliminate this problem without needing to even react to it.

/cast [target=party1,harm][target=party2,harm][target=party3,harm][target=party4,harm] Purge

I have not tested this, but if you insert this in the beginning of your main nuke macro (or all macros for that matte) it should dispell mindcontrol whenever it is up without you requiring to even think about it.

Anyone tested something like this?

Mind control is a debuff as far as I know. :(

Yep, it's a "charm" which is a debuff and purge only removes beneficial. Who knows, maybe it could be bugged and work though ;).

I know for a fact that you can purge a mindcontroll even though it is a debuff. Since the target becommes hostile, purge doesnt check if its a buff or debuff, its just check if the target is hostile or not.

You can't purge mind control.. and you can't mind control a target being mind controlled... You also can't do a lot of cheap tricks like DI somebody who's MCed. (my dual box team was a Ret Pally/Disc Priest)

ur going about this all wrong! :)

you have to mind control the mob that is mindcontrolling so that you gain a slave and a pet :P
