What parts of WoW do I need to back up to make the OS upgrade go faster?

I'm upgrading from XP to Vista Ultimate 64 to get more ram this weekend, what parts of wow should I back up to make the reinstall go faster. The thought of re-installing everything isn't my idea of a good way to spend the weekend, but looking forward ( hoping ) that it will resolve my performance issues.

I have three directories I use now. One for my main for single play, one for my main multibox toon, and one for the 4 alts.

I am assuming the wtf and addons folder, but not sure about else. If I just reinstall basic wow, then tbc, can I just copy over what I have backed up, or will that work?

You don't have to reinstall WoW... just copy the whole WoW directory and launch the wow.exe and it will all work fine.

I only ever installed WoW the once on Day 1 and have moved my WoW directory from PC to PC a few times over the years due to upgrades/replacements.

I upgraded my new quad core machine to Vista 64 last month.

If you back up your /interface and /wtf directories and then reinstall, all will go smoothly. The 20 minutes that it takes to reinstall was worth the time spent. Wow will go in the /program files (x86) directory and will link in a bit differently. A couple of my programs did not reinstall well.

Norton Anti-virus (corporate edition)
Adobe Acrobat Pro (version 7) << still thinking about the upgrade $$ here, not sure it is worth maintaining this at home.
Keyclone (for some reason it didnt know i was on the same machine, i am impatient so i paid for another copy) + i own 6 copies now but i am using only two at the moment.

Overall, i am happy with Vista 64. Only a couple of weird crashes in the last couple of weeks. The ones where you get the screen to send data to Blizzard.

Good news! I guess I assumed that running the initial installer did registry entries and such that would need to be done before it would work. guess not.
