I usually leave the whinge threads alone but have been tiring of their daily, if not hourly, appearance of late, so finally got stuck into a couple.

This one at the weekend...
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=5101902605&postId=51013446459&sid=1#34

and today...
http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=5101883101&postId=52253526057&sid=1#17
where all 5 of my Shammies played a part.

Neither thread has been locked but both have died a death after a simple posting of facts and/or links.

I do believe the anti-MB posters may be losing steam on the EU forums.

We can but hope :)

Of course, as soon as I post this, a new thread rears its ugly head on the EU forums...

but it does have a fantastic image supplied as part of someone's response...

I've said it before, they've run out of arguments to make. They still do try to find some sort of loophole that they can use to 'prove' that multiboxing is a ToS violation, but those tend to be easily shot down. A recent one was the claim that if there was a UI mod that allowed you to force other party members to assist you (thus replicating the multiboxer's advantage in assisting and focus firing), Blizzard would hotfix the game and ban people who used it. Then he says that multiboxing is the same. The reply? Easy. Such a UI mod would allow you to control accounts you don't own, which is one of the violations that Blizzard takes extremely seriously.

In other words, his argument didn't have anything to do with multiboxing. But by making up an example and saying "it's just like multiboxing" he figured he had his smoking gun. I don't think these people really understand how Blizzard views multiboxing. They aren't acting as if their hands are tied and they need some help finding a way to make it 'illegal.' Now the arguments are along the lines of "it violates the social interaction of the game" (or something equally stupid) and "we will keep whining until they change it." As if their numbers are growing, even though it's always the same 5 or 6 people in each thread.

The worst part is that it doesn't even make a slow day go any faster. :/

This quote is like the best thing ever from your thread:

If you put 5 identical TV sets next to each other and press the next channel button on a single remote, all 5 TV's switch to the next channel. Does that make the TV's automated? No, they don't change channel on their own, they only act when you actively press a key.

Same deal with multiboxing. The chars does absolutely nothing unless you press a key. That 5 chars listen to a single keyboard doesn't make them automated, just like 5 TV's listening to a single remote isn't automated.

I just have to quickly point out...

2. It's done by ppl who have no skills so they must cheat
3. It is allowed by Blizzard. if it is allowed how is it cheating?

That picutre is fabulous!

2. It's done by ppl who have no skills so they must cheat

People who write that have no idea what they are talking about. Based on my experience in 5v5 arena, I most definitely can say that it IS done by people with no skills (e.g. ME), but it is also done by people with a lot of skill (e.g. Aelly).
