/target asshat
/cast Flash heal (rank 9)
sorta like that for each person which is working fine for 5 mans but not so well in 10/25 mans im shore
what im looking for is a way to keep 1 hot key and a way toselect the person on the other screen without chaning targets on my warr cuse that could be bad y u tank lol

bind on priest a macro
/focus main
&
/cast [target=focustarget] flash heal (or other desired heal)
whatever your main has as focus your alt will attempt to heal
hope this helps get you started

i just rolled a 5x priest group to see what it can do.
having a macro key to target the focustargettarget with renew is interesting.
basically, 5 renews at once (and a shield as a bonus).. as the mob attacks makes it fairly useful.
(my new rig has been sporadic.. so i haven't been able to level them up very much yet... i'm open to suggestions for the 5x priest group)

Is this due to typical latency between my machines and the server? If so, do you have any tips to pick up my mains target quicker and still be able to switch control to one of the slaves if the main dies? I can switch control pretty efficiently, but does using focustarget macros force you to deal with the target latency issue?

Healing the targetoftarget and targeting a hostile mob (good for dispells and keeping dots up, making assists to main) be a good method for a lot of situations and spot healing with /cast [target=] specific macros i find

there is always a bit of latency when you switch targets.. independent of changing focus. the latency will be just a bit more then 2 * your latency... so it really is a good idea to find a server where you normally have <100ms latency
any thoughts on a 5x priest group and handling instances? do you think i'll be able to handle the pulls without a true tank? (pulling 3 was killing me.. granted, i was 10 and the pulls were 14-15s...)
(i'm just trying an odd combo and am interested in the results)

Not unless you're in an area where you can safely cycle your Psychic Scream to keep the buggers off you.
Even if you can shackle some to keep them out of the fight a while, whatever's left is going to hit you sufficiently hard that you're not going to last long.
I resorted to slotting a tank into my priest team for instances.

ya what imlooking for is a way to heal without refocusing my main cuse he is the tank i have an epic geared warr and an epic geared priest im going to tri to mt/main heal a kara run lol
and i dont want to retarget on my warr y im tanking
I never played a priest until I made my multiboxing team, and at 70 it couldn't keep my tank up very well, and I was generating more threat than I wanted. My solution was to start single playing the toon in guild raids and for a bit, treating it like a main long enough to figure it out while picking the brains of the Priests in my guild.
Here are my lessons learned:
Prayer of Mending is one of the most powerful spells in a priests arsenal. It can be cast before a pull, and the agro from the heal goes to the tank. It heals for a good amount, and its CHEAP to cast. Cast this and wait for the recast cooldown on the tank before the pull, after the tank gets hit and it procs for the first time, immediately reapply it.
Keep PoM and Renew up on your tank during the whole fight. You'll be amazed at how much healing they account for, just use Flash Heal or Greater Heal to spot heal when necessary.
Healing Macros:
I use two macros on my priest for "Heal spam" such as below. I don't claim these are optimal, they are just what I am using atm, and mostly I just use the first. The second eats through a ton of mana. These are typed from memory, so the syntax may be off.
Trash Healing - this casts PoM every 10 seconds when spammed, and Renew every 20. Can switch targets if mob is not focused on tank, but wont heal for much in these cases
/castsequence [target=focustargettarget, help][target=focustarget, help][target=focus, help][help] Prayer of Mending; Renew; Prayer of Mending
Boss Healing - this tries to keep PoM and Renew up, with Greater Heals in the middle for added healing, and for spacing out the renews. Still working on the timing of it.
/castsequence [target=focustargettarget,help][target=focustarget,help][target=focus,help][help] Prayer of Mending; Renew; Greater Heal (Rank 1); Prayer of Mending; Greater Heal (Rank 1); Renew; Greater Heal (Rank 1); Prayer of Mending;
Alt Healing - I have one of each of these for my alts that I use if they need healing. I really only use these for spot healing
Topoff Heal - I use this quite a bit, in and out of combat
/cast [target=ToonName, help][target=party1, help] Renew
Big Heal - don't use this much, but when I do... it is needed
/castsequence [target=ToonName, help][target=party1, help] Power Word: Shield; Renew; Flash Heal; Flash Heal; Flash Heal; Flash Heal
