I'm currently using a corner desk can fit 2 monitors barely. Anyone got a desktop thats just pretty flat with a Keyboard tray?
If you could just remember where you got it i could browse for it. Thanks.... i've already checked out all the local shops here i.e. Staples, Walmart, Target. Everything seems to be a corner unit or a huge office desk.
Thanks in advance

Thanks in advanceCheap foldout tables work! The keyboard is at a decent height too. I use 2 fold out's, Tons of room. Doesn't have a keyboard tray, and one wouldn't fit between the table and your legs. Just something to consider if you want to go cheap.
I'm a HUGE fan of my desk from Ikea. Adjustable height, different extensions for when I rearrange my game room, and once the top wears out I can replace it for only $100 (which I'm about to do since I've had it for 6 years of mousing on it).

you could probably find someone to make a custom desk to you're liking? i personally use a gigantic old wooden desk for my monitors and crap and some night-tables for my computers.... hey, it's all i had and it's good enough. why spend money when you don't have to?

I personally use our old dinner table. It was big enough for 6 people to eat at, and it fits my setup just fine, i even have space for more if needed.

I got my own desk custom built, its made up of kitchen worktops - there really smooth and have the rounded edges. I have two pieces cut together into a corner of the wall, there held to the wall using some nice sturdy wood.
Although moving it would prove to be hardwork, i could jump up and down on it and it wouldnt budge ;)

lol, sry :P
I bought a $150 desk for $12 at best buy, i think it was discontinue or it was opened. But my wife and I where like for $12 even if there are pieces missing I could make selves out of them. From the picture it looks pretty big, sad thing is that it is still in the box in the basement :( . Don't have much room upstairs to put it, so when i get the basement finished next year (hopefully) i can set it up.

I love my corner desk:

I bought it about a year ago (saved around $150 from this price to pick it up in-store and do the delivery & install myself), and it easily fits 3 large LCDs and my PS3. I like the fact that if I need more space later, I can add side desks to it - one of the benefits of expandable office furniture. There's an optional keyboard tray, but I like having my keyboard/mouse on top of the desk.
I'll probably custom-build my next desk.. I've been kicking some ideas around of a wood framed, glass-topped desk that actually contains the internals of 2-3 computers. I'm still working on the design to isolate sound and vibration from the machines, while still having them be viewable through the desktop glass.

My desk is the same as above. I needed more space when i started 5 boxing. Two 24" screens eat up the deskspace, and no hutch accomodated them. I ended up buy the base corner portion of the expandable workstation setup at office depot. I thnk mine only cost about $250 in the store.
Its very solid, and heavy, My only complaint is that the height isn't adjustable, but it is at a decent hight.

Yep, including tax, I think it was around $250. It's incredibly sturdy - My 250lb roommate was standing on it after I put it together and left the room to get a drink. (I wasn't happy about this, but I knew it would easily hold.) I didn't want the hutch - I like the light from not being blocked in by it. The height is perfect for me since I believe it's exactly the same height as my furniture at work even though it's not the same brand. There's easily plenty of room to have 3x 24" displays (I plan on adding a 24" to have 2x 24" and a 22"), and it took me a week to get used to how much surface space is actually on the desk.

The ones I have at home are from Ikea -- you buy the table and the legs (and yes, there is an add-on keyboard tray though I don't personally use it -- it's a nice deep desk).

Indeed Vyndree, Ikea makes nice desks. They can can be expensive though, mine cost about 500$ as I recall. I'm not sure if they make this exact desk model anymore or not but I'm sure they have a similar one. It's built like a tank, I've had it for 8 years, disassembled and moved it from house to house and room to room more times than I can count, and it still fits together perfectly and is rock solid. I can stand on top of it - and have on several occasions to change light bulbs - and hardly even flexes. Here is a *really old* picture of it - this was probably taken during my DAoC days judging by the strategy guide on the left side. Before I got rid of most of my old hardware and went to LCD monitors. The 22" CRT in the center weighed about 70 lbs and put out so much heat it was crazy. You could literally see the heat waves coming out of the vents on top. Great during the winter, terrible during the summer and expensive all year around.
Also -- that's a working SGI Indigo in the small purple box, BTW. Hell of a machine back in the day. Brings back memories for sure. :)

I have an Ikea Jerker (no longer in production I'm afraid).
Nice desk. Lots of room when I don't have it covered with random shit.

wooden trestle table - narrow but long, cost me $AU60 from the hardware shop and it's perfect for 2x24 inch screens, xkeys pro etc etc, plenty of room underneath for computers and stuff. Plus since it's narrow it's not in the way
