45-58 Instance/Questing

Got a few questions. After hitting 45 with my guys im stuck at a holt i have a 70 mage with Veng gear I did brd/scholo and only getting about 32k XP an hour. What would be better respecing my guys back to ele and Quest or do another instance or something. I have 3 Resto Shammys ATM healing my mage in scholo...its more of a stop go stop go thing.

Would like to know what you guys did from 45-58 in detail please :D

My team is at 47 atm, been doing lbrs lately with my lock.
I found out, xp rate sux for lockboost after zf, but the alternative, leveling solo/questing is even worse. Been thinking of leveling paladin to 70 first, then boost em with him, but as for now, iam sticking with brd/lbrs.
Edit: The thing that makes me go, think of it, FUCKING 4/5 elementals, HEROIMS. GOD, its gonna be awsome :B

My team (3 ele shamans) are 46 and after i hit 44 in ZF i decided to try questing for a bit. One of my concerns was skills such as defense. If you bot all the way up you will be way behind on those skills and its a BITCH to get them up to your level.

I found that once I put Quest Helper on my Main questing isnt bad exp at all. I just skip the big or hard collection quests and i'm flying through levels pretty quick. IMO instance boosting just tapers off in the 40s. Its quicker to quest... but then again i only have 3 so there is less down time with turn ins and looting and stuff. If nothing else its a good break from the instance grind that was OHH so boring after 20 hours in SM....

I find questing much more fun after level 45.
I'm 49 now and get 45k to 60k XP per hour questing.
I use a some addons to help me level like TourGuide ('http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info7674-TourGuide.html').

ZF until 47, quest to 55, Scholo from 55 to 60.

Did midsummer festival in there and got 3 levels doing that (51,52,53) so YMMV.

I know what you mean. I boosted my pally from 30 - 57. I only had defense of 150 when i started attacking mobs i was like i am 10 lvls higher then them how am i taking so much damage (i was gathering herbs, that is why i was in lower lvl areas). So what i did was i took my lvl 70 sham and pally. Took them outside of org. Pulled like 10 pigs, put my defense aura up and dropped a healing totem. I found that i could take 10 mobs and not take any damage because of the healing totem. So I got my pally to 285 defense in about 10 minutes. When i rounded up the mobs i hit them using my fists sense it only had like 5 skill points in it. I might have to do this again because my pally is basically on follow all the time with the 4 sham. The only thing my pally does right now is heal and put the mana blessing on them. The only bad thing is that my heals suck and can only give like 3 heals off before out of mana. The shams give better heals but save there mana for fights.

Ya i power leveled up a druid for arena and when i went solo at like 50 i died almost every pull... it was PAINFUL!!! Your idea is a good one with the piggies thou i might "barrow" it. I guess i was not aware that level 10 mobs would level up skills for higher level characters.

One other reason i just started questing is because i wanted to get good at playing my guys as a team. When you are boosting them its just too easy, you never really have to learn how to play them well. Once I am in outlands ill be questing anyways and i want to be good at it by then. meaning practice at moving / facing my team and also having the defense skill up so they can make the transition from old school wow to outlands mobs.

Yea that is why I PVP with them alot once they get 29-39-39 ect
