What race has the least collection quests, or the most multi box friendly area? I've done humans and it seems to be packed with collection quests. Some other opinions would be nice :)

Just start in human or gnome/dwarf part and when you're done in one of the two continue in the other one. Tram makes this very easy :)

I always level in the Draenei zone.

Why?

Because hte draenei starting zone is the ONLY zone that has diminishing returns on rep. You can go back to the starting area for human, night elf, gnome/dwarf and still get full rep at level 70.

Furthermore, the draenei zone is very well designed and amusing. :) Some of the quests (I highly recommend the furbolg chain and the elekk handler one) are the most unique I've ever seen. Collection quests have high drop rates, and I think the most annoying one is at level 2ish, but even so, will not take long to do. The only other collection quests tend to be collecting meats which can be used to powerlevel up your cooking and are a ridiculously high drop rate with mobs scattered all over the place.

Very easy. :)

So your saying just do all the easy/non collection quests in one area, then move to other starting area and do same thing? How about once your in elwynn and you start off with collection quests?

How about once your in elwynn and you start off with collection quests? In every area there are other quests aswell to start with, gold dust exchange and a quest to collect candles are the only worse ones imo. Gathering chunks of boar meat, bundles of wood and de gnoll bandages (and a quest which requires you to kill murlocs, i think it's a follow up from something, but i'm not sure if it's a classquest) are all doable. Especially for the bundles of wood you simply need to walk past all spawnpoints, continue with something else, like the quest in the murloc camp and make a new round to gather bundles on an other char. That's simply what i did, but that's also because i know the starting area's of dwarfs and human and didn't want to waste time on finding out what quest exactly wants what in the draenei area, even with Questhelper running.

What I usually do is do as many quests in my starting area as I can and then move to other starting areas (actually use that same logic when as I level as well). Most areas after you have finished the starting areas will have some kind of quest to kill some high level mob and will usually reward you in some very 'good for your level' gear. From what I can tell there is no minimum level to wear the gear. If you can pick up the quest and finish it you can then put the gear on. I just hit those as fast as possible and pick up other 'kill this kill that quests' and knock them out. If you hit multiple zones like this it is less painful to at least get to level 10 or so.

Ditto what Vyndree said, not too many collection quests (tho there are a few, the lashers drop quest is the most annoying) and the gear rewards are much better than the other starter area quest rewards. Exodar also has trainers for just about everything, and tends to not be very crowded.

One other benefit of the Draenei starting area is that quest reputations "spill over" to all other Alliance reps right away. All other zones begin that in the second area (10-20). That's why you can leave at lvl 10 at or near Honored with every Ally faction and also why you can't use them to remediate Exodar rep later.

What use is old-world faction though, unless you want a cross-faction mount or are a reputation junkie? Might save a few hundred g's through rep discount, but beyond that?

If you plan to boost and are just trying to get past the 1-10 grind as fast as possible then I recommend making some non-binding twink items to speed through these levels. You'll want them to bling out your banker character anyhow, and they are reusable !

Chest : http://www.wowhead.com/?item=38277
Head : http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34827
Feet : http://www.wowhead.com/?item=6836
etc. Get these enchanted with something nice - I do +hp to head/chest, cobrahide leg armor, minor speed on boots. Get a cloak with +dodge and gloves +haste or +strength, bracers +strength or +stamina. And use a Blacksmith Hammer, Mining Pick, or Skinning Knife with +5 damage, fiery, lifesteal, or crusader. You'll tear through the low levels basically 1-2 shotting mobs and being nearly invincible. Then just mail the suit off to your next alt or bank it once you're done.

Very easy. :)Good to know. I guess Blood elves starting area is the same then.
