This doesn't pertain to just multiboxers but I've never really had this happen to me when solo playing.

On four seperate occasions when bringing my group down a road, and obviously headed to a town, I have picked up a straggler who /follows one of my mains and then goes afk. I talk to them, and no response. Later on, I get a message from them telling me they were afk and thanks for the lift.

lol.. wth!!

I could be mean and cause them to die or angel them off a cliff somehow... or get them stuck on an obstacle but usually I'm not far from town and I've come to just accept this now.

Anyone else get this or do this?

I get these guys in AV. I do my best to run them in the enemy's path and get them stuck.

Happens to me once or twice a day, usually in Stormwind for some strange reason.

Yep, from time to time when I was question I had a few people.

I was in Honor Hold and someone followed me for about 15 minutes so I mounted up, he also mounted up and continued to follow me. About 30-45 minutes later I was talking to a GM. This guy was still following me. Five minutes after chatting to the GM he left.

Some people are just idiots!

Only happened once. I was running to Desolace and I had 3 people just /follow. I laughed to myself when their afk tag popped up, too lazy to say anything. I rock up to the FP in Desolace, they spring back to life and tip me for an 'excellent shuttle service'. Amused me anyway :p

I've had similar...this guy below followed me alllllll the way from Aldor inn to Altruis at the far west end of Nagrand. Course, I was on the "Fly on a Netherdrake to survey the camps" quest so I took off all at once and made a smart remark that I had dragons too to him...still no reply, and when I landed he was gone lol

Just happened to me in AV actually. This guys is talking trash (when he sees me he starts going "go home multibox nub" and "loser" etc., the usual), so I just put him on /ignore, no biggie, but then he consequently /follows me around during this and the next to AVs. He mounts up to follow so I know he's at the keyboard - wth is up with that, haha.

Anyway, my ignorelist is closing in on the limit - how do you guys handle that? Also, there was a lot of trashtalk in /bg too - even before the BG had started. Do you guys just turn off /bg or answer back or ignore it?

For some reason, the very first week I started doing AV (I didn't bother with it until 70) I had someone put me on follow and pretty much afk. They usually would start fighting eventually, but they just say there til i got down to near the RH. And then it just sort of stopped and I haven't had it happen in weeks.

Oh, I do still get it in IF sometimes. I'll just be mounted up and running back and forth jumping around on my mounts, and someone will just put me on follow. I once had three people following me in addition to my two clones.

If they ever follow you again bring them to Nagrand arena or Blades edge arena and kill them ;)

hehe, I've had it happen, but what annoys me more then anything is every once in a while someone will think they are clever and run up and /assist me to tap mobs before my casts get there. I of course respond to that with the simple /stopcasting and /giggle macro.

follow happens allot though it's usually one of those people that stalk you trying to A) ask how you cheat) B) don't know wtf is going on so follow in silence to see what your doing
never actually had someone go afk for a lift though, but if it does happen i usually make them drown, die (being that my main is a paladin and it happened sometimes jumping from high places is quite nice ^^)

If it isn't a bg. Find out what toon he is following, logout of that toon and log back in. This should cancel the follow. What you can do to is clear a some mobs, logout in the middle of the spawn area, log back in and run. Hopefully he goes afk and when mobs spawn he dies. Funny part would be if he comes back the second before he dies... lol

Do you guys just turn off /bg or answer back or ignore it?Instead of ignoring people, use the 'Report Spam' option instead. Especially in battlegrounds. I only use ignore for people that I might eventually stop ignoring and use report spam for everyone I could care less if I ever see in chat again. As far as I know there is no limit on the number you can use the report spam feature on.

Like I said, this happens frequently to me on my multiboxing group and rarely when solo. But it happened to a guildie of mine when we were soloing once. This person was too low level for an area and we were headed down the road. They kept asking for assistance and we would have had to gone an additional 10 minutes out of our way, so we kept telling them to petition their fellow guildmates for help.

Instead he just /follows my guildie. My guildie warned him... you do that, you'll die. He never responded. My guildie starts running in circles, etc but the only mobs that come to attack go for my guildie first since he was technically low for the zone but still with my help he was within the parameters needed. So.... my guildie had a brilliant idea. He was a warlock, casted unending breath on himself, ran over to the nearest river and drowned the kid.

I felt bad but at the same time we had politely refused him and he took it upon himself to attach himself to us and go afk. Bad idea...

Anyone else get this or do this? While single boxing I was in the barrens leveling something (this is a really long time ago). Anyway I was on my way to Crossroads coming from the Camp T area (before it had a flight path) A cow decided to hitch a ride by following me. So I decided to take a little detour and head right to WC cave (They were elites back then). A group just went in so it was clear. I brought him inside, then cut the corner really sharp so he would get stuck.

Time I got outside the cave they mobs starting to repop and he died. I'm such an ass but I thought it was funny none the less.

lol that is the best he would have to get spirit rezed too because every time he would rez at his body he would die quick.

I remember when they where elites too, wasn't that long ago i think. lol i should search the web to see what the original wow was like.

OMG YOUR A BOTTER, YOU ****ING HACKER, I"M GONNA REPORT YOU.

Then they decide to autofollow you and do NOTHING in the battleground.

"You know.. You could help out your team too."
Why? I don't need to, because your hacking for us..

... Fuck that pissed me off so much. He did this for 4 AB games
