View Full Version : The 40s, when they really become REAL...

OK, so while I've been doing this for a long time, I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to it, obviously. But just recently, I've been working through the 40s and noticed something that has been true for all my other characters as well.

Somewhere in the 40s, the toon moves from gimp lowbie status to a seemingly more real character.

I don't know if it's because they have a fair distribution of their spells/skills, or the gear starts to take off and be more than the +2 spirit crap we see at low levels. Maybe it's how they look? Or even just the time invested.

I don't know, all I do know is it seems to happen to me on each run through, and it just recently happened for my boxing crew as well, and it's always in the 40s.

Anybody else notice this phenomenon?

Yep - I noticed it too.

I wondered if it was because you hit the end level talent in a tree at 41 so you feel more complete.

Yep, I've always found that character does not start to "mature" until you hit 40s.

It's a gear thing in the 40's. The 40's is when spell damage really starts to show on gear, and great melee weapons start to pop out.

50's is when you get your 41 talents, and those usually make a huge difference for most classes.
