View Full Version : Is There Such a Thing?
Hey all,
I've downloaded Synergy, and everything is working fine. Right now, I have my Desktop PC running my main, and my Laptop running my 2 clones (3xShaman)
I was wondering if there was any program to let me broadcast my desktop's keytstrokes to my laptop's (Both) WoW clients
Thanks in advance,
Toy
From what i've been reading from the software board, autohotkey is just one system. I want a keystroke on my desktop to go to all 3 of my WoW clients, which are on 2 seperate computers

You need Keyclone.
Synergy and Multibox will both broadcast to the 2nd machine, but neither will broadcast to many clients on the 2nd machine. Whether or not you would need two keyclone keys (one per machine) or if you could broadcast with Multibox and have keyclone pick-up the key presses sent and the then rebroadcast is up for debate. But as Keyclone is only $10 each I'd suggest biting the bullet and getting two. :D
This no doubt could also be achieved with AHK, but with much greater complexity. Way I see it is if I could program a stand alone utility like Keyclone I'd have the skill to make AHK work the way I want... I don't. :(

AutoHotKey - The PERFECT tool for the user who already knows he needs it and how to implement it... because if you have to ask questions, all of us are going to suggest KeyClone because for $10 it saves you a dozen hours of work and learning curve.

I agree with everyone else here, Keyclone is hands down the best investment to make if you don't want to make the hardware investment. I've been using it for a few weeks now and haven't had a single issue. My set up consists of three (beefy) systems. I use vetra to broadcast keystrokes to all three systems and keyclone to broadcast keystroke to two wow.exe windows on two of the systems. It works like a charm. No lag, no dropped key, no nothing. Now if Keyclone had Multibox or Synergy functionality (without the screen going nuts), I'd glady pay $20 per client!
