So I got my little shammies to level 18, had them twinked out a bit (simply by doing WC a lot, nothing special really). Went into my first little WSG tonight. My team was supportive. I got told 'I love you guys' before the game started. Mid battleground, someone said they were gonna post a postive thread on the wow forums. We did win, but no thanks at all to me. I got sliced and diced by a mad, crazy rogue who was gunning for me all match. he'd weave and and out of my little shammies, and mess me pretty bad. I was on defense, so I didn't leave the base much but when I was chasing someone down, it became obvious I need some speed pots or something. There was some horde who asked why I didn't keep the FC healed during a fight (the FC was a priest), I explained I was busy killing the twink that was attacking him to try to save him. All in all, it was a pretty supportive group but I'm really disappointed by my own performance. It's late, maybe I'll do another match tomorrow.

Last on damage done. I did get a few kills, but I died a lot. I did get to kill that rogue a time or two though :D

One of my guild mates did all of his pvping on his alt at level 69. He bought all of his level 70 pvp gear before he went out and dinged. He said it was easier for him at the 69 bracket. I might have to try that next time. Last time, I got impatient and ding'd my hunter early. Regret that now.

In AV it's 61-70 -- But isn't the other BGs 60-69, and then a separate at 70? That would explain it - - However in my battle group getting games at 69 was damn hard, even on honor weekend.

Lvl 70 BG's are filled with people that don't like pvp but wants the pvp epics anyway. They don't give a shit about winning or losing, they just want to max out honor/hour. AFK leechers and people whining if the BG takes more than 10 minutes.

In the 60-69 bracket people come to fight and it makes the battles so much more enjoyable. Honor and gear is secondary because we can't wear it anyway, so it's all about working together and crushing the enemy. As a 69 in green/blue gear, you won't meet people with way superior gear. When you begin pvp'ing as a green/blue geared 70, you will be crushed by the epic geared. The queue's for the 60-69 bracket is longer, but the quality of the battles are so much better and way more fun.

You get 5-10% less honor as a 69, but you get 100% more pvp fun..

The reason for this is that each class has it's own 'Sweet Spot' for bg's. My priest was untouchable at 29 or 39, I can't remember which now, been so long. Hunter's have their best BG potential at 69. Once you ding 70, the BG's suddenly get harder for hunters as the rest of the classes seem to catch up with their awesomeness. So since it's so close to level 70, it makes sense to stop and get your gear while you're still superior to the competition.

When i dinged my shaman 60 and wanted to get the black war tigers i figured i needed WSG marks, queued. Then when i entered i rememebered again that there is no lvl 60 WSG anymore. as 4 lvl 60 i still manage to do quite some damage and kill hordies, which were a lot higher lvl, but we still lost. Alliance ftw.

I had great success at level 50-59 WSG and AB. At that level you blow people up if you have 3 or more toons. There is nothing better than Pom Pyroing twinks with high level enchants at that level. Once I got 50 wsg marks and 90 ab marks I leveled up to 60. I plan on doing some bg's at 69 for EoTS marks. I am not sure how that will be but lvl 59 was great.
