First off, Hello everyone! I must say from reading through alot of threads here I am very excited to start doing this and looks like a great community!

I have started up a second account as of last night thinking of just manually running alts through instances etc etc but I see now there is so much more I can do and easier than manually now that I have come here :)

Anyhow, enough of my rambling and onto the nitty gritty. Right now I have a desktop running xp home/2g ram/dual core X2 4200/7950 gt 512 mb and I also have a laptop that is running Vista Home Premium with pretty much the basics for a starter laptop with integrated graphics etc etc but it runs wow fine. So my initial plan was just manually kinda switching back and forth since they are right next to me.

My main concern is the Vista laptop just for the fact that I was reading about some of the key programs that people use so that I could control the follower on my Vista laptop from my XP desktop. Basically, will this cause a problem? Or things to look for or set up ahead of time? Also is there a suggested guide to follow specifically for this type of set up?

Thanks in advance for any input helping a multi-boxing noob :)

I currently run my main on a XP desktop and the four alts on a Vista laptop with no problems using Keyclone. There are tons of guides and info on the site to get started with the program and Rob is always helpful with specific questions.

I also have a mix of Vista64, Vista32 and XP32 with no "unique" problems so don't worry about it :)

Howdy Sleey and welcome to the forums!

controlling your characters across multiple machines is a common technique... and about the only way to do it on older hardware.

as hardware improved, the ability to multibox on a single machine became less and less expensive. today, with mods to wow, a single core can 5-box and get 5/25 outside of town without a problem. the quads? well.. they just rock

if you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

have a great weekend.. and welcome to our addiction
