I think I have everything setup. Have the correct version and all but when I shoot only the main is shooting or attacking. It secondary or tertiary characters just stand there. On occasion as I am switching from one Wow --> Wow2. It won't let me click on anything it just stays on the outside or puts me back into Wow.

It only started to happen to me since the new version I think as a couple of weeks ago I was Dual-boxing fine even went on a raid or two but now :( :( :( !!

Help plz.

did you set up your /assist macro?

are you using focus for targeting instead? if so, did you remember to set focus?
did you do it while all your clones were in the group?

Not really. I followed the pdf. To the letter. The first time. It worked before, the upgrade apparently. Cause it follows but it doesn't attack. Just need a bit of help to get back to doing it. What macro?

Big Button /target focus
/follow
/assist
/stopcasting
[font='Calibri'][size=12]
Focus button [font='Calibri'][size=12]
/target main (where main is your character name of your main)
/focus
[font='Calibri'][color=#ff0000][size=12]
Lightning Bolt
/assist focus
/cast [exists,harm] Lightning bolt

These are the ones I am using. But none of my attacks are working. It finds the focus, it follows, but it won't attack. Only the main is attacking. The key is bound to 2, but when I press 2 only the main attacks. 3 the main heals himself.

ok.. those are some odd macros. try these:

set focus macro (you should have 1 per character so you can switch.. using joe as the character's name)

--

/focus joe

follow macro:
--
/follow focus

offensive spell macro:
--
/cast [target=focustarget] lightning bolt

healing spell to heal the character currently getting pounded:
--
/cast [target=focustargettarget] heal

those are the ones i use mostly. works every time. no messing around with assist. assist works fine prior to 20.. but after that, target+focus is where it is (unless someone has a better solution)

let me know how that goes,

Rob

>assist works fine prior to 20

Entirely off-topic, but assist works fine, and is more flexible, through all levels. The choice of focus vs. assist is entirely personal.

But, yes, that's a strange hybrid combination of focus and assist macros you posted there, Daddy - KC's suggestion will at least get you going.

/assist does work but i have used it awhile and sometimes one of my guys gets a different target and pulls it in addition to what I want ot kill so what keyclone suggest is alot cleaner to use exspecially for avoiding larger pulls

This is one of those things we'll just have to disagree on. If you make a bad pull, it's entirely your fault for not checking targets first. A no-focus assist system is far more flexible and frees focus up for more important things.

Just as I doubt people who are commited to using /focus to determine who their main is would ever want to go over to a much simpler /assist system (and do away with 'n' unnecessary DPS macros), I wouldn't want to change to /focus.

Horses for courses.

But to say that /assist is ever less effective than /focus is entirely wrong, and that's the only reason I piped up, not to fire up yet another focus vs. assist argument - that's been done to death, and I think everyone's decided which side they sit :)

i cannot say for certain, but having the target in the single command instead of spread across 2 commands, may actually provide a more reliable targeting mechanism.

my thought is that there may be a delay between the assist and the cast... which could switch targets somehow (not engaged with target yet, but get hit by another mob).

personally, i found using focustarget in my cast made the targeting more reliable. your mileage may vary
