I read a tutorial on how to Dual box on WoW, but there weren't any Download links. Heres a bit of info for if anyone wants to help. I am looking to run 5 instance of wow on the same computer, I know it can handle it I have currently all of them logged in atm while here. It is going to be Druid the main and 4 warlocks as others, the thing is, I do not want the druid to be the main like what he does the other 4 do because the other 4 of opposite faction. so having them run in opposing faction cities wouldnt be good. if you need more detail I will provide it.

Edit: just downlaoded the stuff required for octopus and am reading the tutorial on it, its not very descriptive on what means hat, and its really confusing.

Edit2: I got keys set up I beliebe but the server and something else are mesed up when i tell it to run instance, it says maximize size dont exist or something like that.

Personally im pretty new myself but this guide aint bad at all:

Read each step closley and try to understand WHY you do it and dont just follow the guide like a slave. My first setup went on my main pc and laptop with 1 instance on my own pc and 2 on my laptop. Laptop kept crashing due to the gfx card got overheated so i changed my laptop to another stationary pc i got and bought one more account. Second time i setup the client i didnt even use the guide apart from getting the adresses to that framework thing.

Anyway i have a hard time to understand the issue with the druid and the locks... Even if you can run 5 clients at your pc atleast my own totaly goes down when i enter cities..



But ive used about 1 day to set up everything properly wich is the same as my RL friend who started multiboxing with me.

Not sure I'm following, you're saying opposite faction, as in the druid is alliance and the locks are horde?

This can't be what you mean, I guess I'm not getting what you're saying.

If that is what you're saying, then you really won't be able to do a lot. Most of this all hinges around "/follow", and you can't follow opposite factions. Again, can't imagine why you'd want to, but in case that's what you mean, I don't think you're going to have a lot of luck with getting things setup the way most of us do it.

No the Druid is a Tuaren Druid, he sits Stealthed behind a building, the 4 Gnome Locks will ressurect, follow leader and run back to wre he is, then lifetap to almost no health then with druid i go bear hit 1 then swipe the last 3 then stealth back to cat again. I just really want it for that for now, but Since I kno I can handle it I probably will take it farther to the point I can level ones up together.

Let me get this straight, y ou're running 4 locks from the opposite faction over to a druid to farm HK? I'm pretty sure that's a no-no, and if this is the case you probably won't be getting much help from here on out... Please correct me if I"m wrong.

It WOULD be a no-no on a retail server, WHICH he is not playing. He's admitadly playing on a Private server, IRC logs. Told em it would be best to keep quite in the comunity if he wanted to remain here as we don't condone such attrocities. -1 for /fail to comply.
