View Full Version : Dual box x2 - Class combo?

I've been dual boxing for a few years in daoc, eq2, and now wow. I've still to get my 2nd account to 70 though. My brother started playing WoW a few months ago and he just bought a 2nd account. We've been wondering what 4-man combo would work well for eventually killing 5man heroic instances for badges. I'm hoping that with 2 people controlling 2 toons each maybe its doable with 4 instead of 5.
He has a 70 druid and I have a 70 rogue. We've thought about doing the stealth thing: 3 druids 1 rogue.
Other ideas are paladin. shaman, warlock, priest - I've got a 50 warlock/priest already.
2 Pallys and 2 Shamans?
Anyone have any suggestions on what'd work best? Thanks in advance!

this has many views but no replies, but i think your idea is very cool to say the least,
4 manning 5 mans, but in my experience doing end game 5 mans, it takes a bit of coordination, with 5 people, everyone has to do the part when its called for, your idea sounds awesome, partnering with your brother 2 characters each, i try shaman
everyone likes to multibox shaman, and for some reason it works, your plan about 2 shaman 2 paladin sounds plausible im assuming you mean ele shaman for dps or dps in general and 1 paladin tank while one heals, and all offhealing coming from shaman
this sounds pretty cool in concept and it seems some difficulty could be worked out if you played the same class by this i mean you play both shaman and brother plays both paladins, (actually paladins could be more difficult to multibox if theyre playing different roles), but i would also look into playing another account or just finding a friend or someone to play the part of the fifth person  good luck
You'll probably want to bring a 5th with that is fine with each of you dual-boxing.
To make it feasible in a lot of instances, make sure one of you has direct control over the tank and another over the healer.
Ranged dps is obviously what you should aimed for, be in Shaman, Mage, Warlock, Spriest, anything.
Have your DPS auto follow whoever is in control of the healer, tank needs to have a lot of focus for positioning mobs, etc. That when when you are good and ready you can start unloading/ccing with your 2nd box. Being the tank and the healer is just too much for most instances, especially with AOE damage, much better to have someone that can focus 100% on the heals when needed.
Good luck.
