Here it is! Not a great qual vid but just wanted you shaman to see whats in store. The way it works now is an instant cast AE around caster type spell. No ground targeting as some of us feared !! round robin this or just do it x4 or 5! Its going to be a great way to get melee out of our face. Or if a DK pulls you to his group.. use this and an earthbind to get back to your crew!

Damnit. I didn't even know it was instant cast...
I'm going to be more afraid of shaman than fear bombs and rogues now. I can just see it now. Every damn shaman I come across heading straight for the middle of my 5 and blasting them away. Thunderstorm is awesomeness. May have to roll shaman instead of warlocks.
A 45 sec cooldown, omfg. You could keep melee off of you almost permanently with a 5shaman team.

Well I was thinking about it. From a single shaman PoV its not too overpowered. But X4 or 5 it just might be. But I guess not any more OP than warlocks round robin fear. or priests. But if it stays with no casting time..no ground targetting..same 45 sec cooldown. ill be happy reading all the QQs 8) I just have a gut feeling it wont stay as is.

Keep in mind, though, that this will add a fairly significant AoE interrupt to the things we can expect to see used _against_ us as well. Granted, as I mentioned elsewhere, if we're still facing them, they just kited themselves (lol). I can also see much griefing with this. I mean, didn't they learn their lesson with AV snowballs?
Also, I'm not sure that this is going to be the worst of it for us. That "force pull" ability that DKs get can be awfully annoying if you don't stop your alts. :P

Ever since i first saw the talent listed/leaked from wotlk, I've been wondering:
If you use multiple Thunderstorm's at the same time (i.e. multiboxing without castsequence), will the knockback effect stack?
I doubt it will, but if it did it would be interesting if they'd fly 4-5 times as far XD
But in general, they have indeed added an entire knockback system, and you will see knockbacks happen in several places.

"get the priest!"
*deathknight peeks his head out for just a second and force pulls priest into his group of 5 and they beat him up behind the pillar*

Just wanted to say that, despite the paranoia of TS getting nerfed, thunderstorm is getting BUFFED already 8) I think it will make it in live. I can only foresee a possible nerf to the distance of the knock back, IF that!
Quate "Thunderstorm range increased from 10 to 12 yards, damage increased from 595-679 to 640-729, knockback stays 20 yards."

It will be nice to try it. But this skill gives us the ability to charge the group, If they are just waiting together. The radius of TS just got bigger and can get even larger with a talent. you can TS them in front of you before your in fear range! Will need to test this out next build 8)
What I imagine is you charging in, TSing with one shaman while targeting your preferred first kill. While hes sailing through the air and or trying to regroup, He "should" die due to the fact that his healer is just landing as well.
Also, as far as not getting nerfed, we will have to wait until there is more PvP testing done with this. I just see so many ways this spell is going to fill the forums with QQs, even more than fear, death grip or any other spell. Future forum QQ post example>> " My team was charging across the alliance bridge and all the sudden we are all dead at the bottom of the valley bellow the bridge!! Sure enough, I look at my combat log and some lame shaman in noob gear( i know he had noob gear after i armoried him) TSd my whole group off the bridge! FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THATS SACRED! NERF SHAMANS!!! "

well, 3.0.2 patch is out now. have they still put this same spell in and if so how much fun is it to use? couple tips for bgs. get a team well places in EotS at the flag. when the oposite faction rushes in, one person cast this to knock back, then get the others placed right under them and cast to knock them off that middle strip off the world. by the time they respwn to get back, you're cooldown will be refreshed. do the same with the flag on top of the hill at the lumber mill in AB. cast and throw them off the cliff to their doom. now shamans become the new linebackers of BGs :D

I get no honor out of it, but currently it is my favorite to run into a bunch of alliance at the flag in EOTS and bomb them all off. Unfortunately TS has some issues(very small obstacles on ground can stop them from flying) so you have to be very careful how they are positioned to get them flying. I get so many lols in EOTS its hilarious.

But in general, they have indeed added an entire knockback system, and you will see knockbacks happen in several places. This is one issue I have with thunderstorm, the other is the bizarro warrior reflection (even when no shield is out). I've shot myself much farther than 20 yards from where I cast this spell and the only enemy on me was a warrior. They seem to reflect it somehow which zips you across the map. Also, as indicated by the quote, the stacking knockback effect is kind of ridiculous. I've shot horde from the ramp leading straight up to BET in Eye of the Storm (the ramp that points toward FRR) to nearly falling into the center of the map (the guy landed right on the edge of the fall). It seems to happen more often when I either spam my round robin button or when I have a slight lag. Either way, its shooting people about 4X the normal distance of a thunderstorm. KInda awesome/ridiculous all at once
