View Full Version : Cursor tracking/spoofing on 1 machine?

I looked around on here, but the only thing I saw was a line of the FAQ that says there are no loot macros.

Well, I actually found a useful script on the blizzard forums for this but it requires that your mouse cursor be hovering over the corpse. People who have multiple computers running can just hover their cursor over the center and wait for auto-follow to position it right and smack the loot key.

So.. for those of us with just one machine running, is there a way to have a virtual cursor in 1 window that copies the position in the main window, or even a spoofed static location of a "cursor" on a slave window?

Even with "focus follows mouse" enabled there is still a noticeable lag when mousing from 1 to the next so I like to avoid it as much as possible. I am aware of the FFA tip but I plan on doing a lot of quests.

If you're using Octopus, you just hold the "mouse broadcast" key and click a few times to have everyone loot said object. Easy peezy.

Sweet man, gonna check out your tutorial link now ;)

edit: "Let's assume you have two PCs." --eh before i continue down this list that is like 3 pages long, is there anything I should change to setup properly? I'm using 1920x1200 for the main guy then a 800x600 window in the bottom right corner, one PC.

Btw, I'm also in Dallas (bedford actually) gotta move in a week and I still haven't found a place lol. You know anyone renting a room or lookin for a roommate?

So.. still not using Octopus. Is there maybe a tutorial for using it with 1 PC?

Ok thanks for trying. The one you linked doesn't tell how to emulate multiple instances of the mouse in one box with multiple games going, but it linked to an octopus tutorial that supposedly has enough info in there for you to figure it out. (that same tutorial from ughmahedhurtz's post) Ugh.. im not in the mood for analyzing and reverse engineering, extrapolating new info from a tutorial written for some other setup so I'll probably just keep putting this off until alt tab + clicking to loot makes me wanna cut myself.
