A couple of questions regarding transferring characters to a new account . . . (all based on transferring from account #1 (BC) to account #2 (vanilla WoW)

I guess I can't move a level 70 to a non BC WoW Account (no brainer really) Can I move a toon who's quested through Ghostlands to a non BC account? Can I move a Belf to a non BC account?if anyone can confirm the 2nd two that would be awesome

thanks again

thanks againI would ask in Blizzards support forum, they tend to be good about answering things like this - My guess is:

1. No
2. Yes (I believe you can travel there on the no TBC account)
3. No (Non TBC will prevent you from having Dranei or BElfs)

I had a rude awakening once, I took my NE hunters to the Draenei area cause i hate the NE area, and on the boat, my one toon who doesn't have TBC got ported to a random (seemingly) place in Auberdine.

I'm pretty sure that just going to a TBC area wouldn't prevent that toon from being transferred to a non TBC account. I wonder, if you activated the 10 day TBC trial, if that would ease the xfer?

IMO just eat the $20 and buy TBC. You are already willing to spend $25 for a transfer, what's another $20?

I've moved a few characters, you can not move a character from a TBC account to a non-TBC account, i believe you can go the other way though.

When you work through the process it will spell out all of the rules for you as you go, you don't have to pay until the very end after it is all approved.

Well I stumped up for the BC expansion (it's only £10 after all) and now my first 70 is transferred.

Blizz stated it would take days to transfer, but mine took about 6 hours in total so I'm stoked. Going to get Boosting the Druid this evening :-)

Also going to concentrate on DB'ing the Lock (70) and Shammy (66.5 now) to get the Shaman up to 70 asap so I can get raiding with him while I'm not DB'ing. Also going to clear the Q's out of SMV asap with them both as the Lock hasn't done any of the Q's there, so this will be both XP for the Shammy and Gold for the Lock at the same time (the gold is just a bonus really, as I've already got enough to see me into WotLK on my bank alt)

Looking forward to getting home this evening and starting up the experiment for real (well probably just messing about with the macro's etc etc)

It's actually, No, No, and No.

If at any time the account was BC enabled, even if you've never visited Ghostlands/Azuremyst, rolled a belf/draenei, or had a level 70, it can NEVER go back to a pre-BC account. :(
