View Full Version : Macro modifiers using keyboard?

When I single box, I tend to use macros that uses modifiers like:

/cast [nomodifier] Fire Nova Totem
/cast [mod:shift] Searing Totem
/cast [mod:alt] Magma Totem

However, my 5 boxing is all done on 1 box with no 'mouse' sending in any fashion - Would I still be able to use modifiers like the above? For instance my main fire tote macro is "ctrl+3", now, I can't apply modifiers to that, can I?

So, assuming I can't get modifiers to work with keyboard - Is there a viable way to get mouse clicks and modifiers sent to separate instances on the same machine?

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish, but I was having problems with using my macros across accounts so I just setup Bongos2 and set up rows for each of my actions bars Regular, Shift, Ctrl, & Alt 1 thru +. Then I placed the macros into those spots instead of trying to set the conditionals into the macro.

(But I've only been dual boxing for a week now, so not sure this will help)

you can use modifiers multiboxing. just make sure each macro is right and it should work fine.

what if i bind a macro to shift+1 that has a modifier for alt -- would that be triggered for alt+shift 1?
