I considered putting this in the Off Topic forum, but figured it might be better off here.

Suvega and I helped out our guild leader do some rogue tanking of Gruul (he's also done Magtheridon and Mother Shahraz) and took some video footage. Thought you all might like to see. :)

It's sped up 2x (it's actually over 20 minutes of footage -- Gruul had so many growths that he reset back to normal and started growing all over again).

I read a while back about a rogue.. stacked doge/avoidance or something right??.. I thought Bliz 'fixed' this so you can't do it anymore.. not sure if it's the same rogue though

This Gruul vid was done pre-patch. I know they made changes to Cheat death but other than that I'm not quite sure -- I usually don't keep up with rogue talents ;)

Yeah, Cheat Death changed, it won't block all of the damage anymore.

Did they kill him with only 8 people in the raid?

Yeah, that was the most amazing part to me, and one of the 8 was naked filming, but only 6 are listed as doing something in the credits, so who was the last person in the raid?

How about a 3 man gruul:

It's actually 6 in the video, and suvega (naked) as the noncombatant cameraman.

It took about 20 minutes to kill him -- you have to make sure not to pull dps from the rogue tank (whose TPS isn't exactly spectacular), and it's mostly about survival rather than flat out dps.

The rogue is a pure avoidance tank -- he should never get hit. Our healer (paladin) is there to top him off if he's unlucky with the cave-ins, and the shadowpriest will bubble him. He's allowed one "mess up" every cheat death cooldown.
