I'm a bit confused, I was really looking forward to these levels, but this has so far been the most painful part. I run out of non-collection quests after about half a level, and with a group I can't get better than like 50k xp per hour grinding (about 12 hours per level). Can't really run instances either.
What kind of times were you getting per level on your group?

I didn't have much problem running out of quests... but I did a LITTLE bit of instancing. I also didn't skip every collection quests. There are some collections you should really just bite the bullet and do even if they are a pain; especially if you are going to grind anyway.
Collection quests = grinding, but with a quest experience reward.
Also, many many collection quests open the way to non-collection quests.

I quested in Hellfire from 58-61ish, but didn't want to hit Zang till atleast 62 so I ran BF through the first boss, ran out reset and repeat till 62. Got about 100k xp an hour, bit more actually. Went to Zang did all the quests there got to about 63.5, again back to BF. 64 hit Tek Forest, back to BF 65.25ish-66. Nagrand, did all the quests there. Did the really fast quest in Blades to get to 68. Fast quests in SMV to get to 69, and then Netherstorm to hit 70. With one of my guys being an enchanter, the BF runs paid for both my epic rider and my normal flyer.

I ran into a similar problem, though it was only taking me 8 hours to level (still a long time). I skipped almost all collection quests, and did Ramps to compensate. You can go to Zanga at 61, but make sure to come back to Hellfire for some more quests at 62.
Are you able to do pre-bc dungeons? maybe grind scholo a bit.

Did the hellfire quests from 58 to 60, zangarmarsh from 60-61, ramparts until I hit 62, furnace until I had the mace from the first boss on all my shammies (a bit into 63), one run of slave pens, then underbog from 63 to 67 (trash up to first boss = $$, my vendorchar was sitting at 10k when I hit 67), sethekk halls from 67 to 70 (up to and including first boss). Averaged about 5 to 8 hours per level (from 61 and up) - I guess it can be done faster but I figured I'd go the gold-route and have the levelling a bit slower since I needed to grind epic mount gold at 70 anyway.
I hit 70 a week ago and did all the outlands quests (except a few collection quests) and bought epic flyers yesterday and must say I'm really glad I chose that path (thanks Suvega, hehe). Anyway, I recommend instancing your way up if that option is available to you - the quests are a lot faster with flying mounts at 70 :)

What kind of times were you getting per level on your group? If you go to BC at 58, and do every quest including collection quests, you still run out of quests (if you don't do any instances).
This is why a lot of people always say stay on azeroth until 60 if you are 5 boxing.
If you can't instance, imo go back and do the collection quests.
A lot of collection quests in BC lead to some very nice chains, that do have some fast xp parts in them later on, so I would look on thottbot and see what your best options are.
I was in a similar boat on my 5X warlocks, I was lvl 62 and already completely finished with all of HF and Zangarmarsh quests, and I did every collection quest, didnt skip one.

I dont know what spec your locks are but if you get improved voids as two pets and imp as third you should be able to do ramps BF , slave pens, mana tombs, etc.
i ran 4 locks and 1 shadow priest this way. (pvp server) did most of lvling in instances. Make locks afflic heavy and you may have to drop imp on some of bosses and make one priest heal voids but it is doable. with right spec

:)Actually only have 4 toons. The 5th one I never leveled up.
They all hit 65 tonight and I'm mostly out of quests other than a few here and there. Been taking about 12 hours per level lately, mostly having to just grind or do collection quests in between. Of course, a few hours of that is pvp as I tend to drive by gank everyone I see (with consequences - lots of being camped by multiple 70s). So let's say 10 hours per level
Grinding yields about 35-40k per hour unrested (pitiful, I know), and this is doing pulls of 10-12 mobs at once with dots and fear bombing them.
Tried blood furnace tonight with the four to see if clearing the first few rooms of trash and resetting could work for grinding, and so far it looks promising (got cut off by server shutdown). I'm hoping it'll be 1.5-2x faster than regular grinding, and that should be what I need fill in the gaps between quests.
Both priests are shadow and both warlocks are affliction with imp voidwalkers.

Hey :)
I'd go BF trash till first boss, i did this from 68 to 70 with my mage, with a random cleave party. Exp was about 500 exp a mob, but you slice through them. Can be boring but fast. You can even forget the first boss, because he takes more time.

I've mostly got it down now, it's yielding around 75k per hour. I think I can push around 80k if I get a little more reckless, but I'm tired of summoning new voidwalkers every 2 fights.
So 75k isn't bad. I get 35-40k regular grinding. About 100-120k from fresh quest zones, but that quickly drops down to 50-80k once the quests get spread out and I'm stuck with collection quests.

60-62: quests and ramparts
62-63: zangarmarsh 2 hours questing
63-64: weirdest moment for me: got a mixture of 2nd half zangarmarsh quests with some terrokar.
64-66: blood furnace. a lot. Mixing with Nagrand.
66-68: finished nagrand, tried mana tombs, but 2nd boss was just too gay. went BEM.
68-70: BEM a little, did the elite quests, moved on to netherstorm, manaforges quests plus the little village lovely questing. At this point i was almost 69, while doing lots of sethekk halls runs. Went to SMV to complete some elite quests, as well as changing scenario a bit. Ended up dinging in sethekk halls.
It all about what u can handle, and how bad u want to get 70. mix between quests and instances, or just instances if u can drink red bull and smoke all night.

Want an Azeroth task that will keep you occupied until 60?
Run LBRS until you collect all pieces of the UBRS key (gotta go to Dustwallow Marsh as well :p ) and get the Note from Commander Whats-his-face to kill Rend to complete the quest for the blue trinket.
Then Run UBRS to kill Rend. If you are running Shaman, then I say good luck to you. I was BARELY able to do it with my 60 Druid + 60 shaman group, as the dragonkin in the Rend event are very Magic Resistant. I used the Shaman to kill the Elite Humanoids and did most of the Dragonkin killing with my druid. If you take too long, the next wave will move right in on you.
This will keep you occupied, and you will get a pretty nice trinket to use for a few levels, even longer if you are using the Tank trinket.

Anyone know if its feasible to kite the trash in blood furnace? I could probably handle 2 pulls at once if i could throw on curse of exhaustion, but not sure if it'll work, before i respec and all

I'm stuck in the same boat. I can do 1-60 in 24 hours with refer-a-friend and a level 70 helping me but then it takes another ~80 hours to get from 60-70. :( My problem is that I want a 70 of every class instead of a bunch of the same class. I already have done it once with 5 classes but now I'm stuck with 4 left (hunter, warlock, priest, mage) that are painful to level up (60-70).
One thing I may try is getting a 70 friend to instance tank for me and run hunter/warlock/mage as DPS and priest as healer, see how fast that gets the levels.

58-62 Quest - Get gear
62-66 Ramparts (Rest helps, otherwise it's around 100k/hour) - You can skip the last boss (he's easy enough to kill once you figure out how to do the dragon without the rider, but any loot he drops isn't going to be useful when you leave so why bother).

Level 60 to Level 61 - 290,000xp required (494,000xp required on Live)
Level 61 to Level 62 - 317,000xp required (574,700xp required on Live)
Level 62 to Level 63 - 349,000xp required (614,400xp required on Live)
from WOR forum
Level 65 to Level 66 - 475,000xp required (710,200 live)
68-69 - 648000 (asked somebody)
Personal xfer.
Interestingly, your exp transfers at an absolute ratio within the level, but not as a %.
So In theory if you go into the patch with 474,999exp, you will be 1 exp from level 66.

I just sat down and did all the quests in hellfire, zagarmarsh, terrokar and nagrand. If i remember right that got me to 67 or so. I then cherry picked item upgrade quests along with kill quests till i hit 70.

I've been averaging 100-120k xp/hr just doing non collection quests and instances mixed up (with 5x shamans). I can complete an entire zone of non-collection quests in like 6 hours since things go so fast, so that helps a lot. I ran all of zangarmarsh with my 5 shamans minus the collection quests in like 5 hours. Once I hit 64 I had to stop a bit to run BF/SP until I hit 65 and now I'm in Nagrand at 65, hoping to hit 67 by the time I'm done with Nagrand + more instances. Then I'll probably run mana tombs a bunch to hit 68 and then durnholde to 69, then I'll finish up quests to hit 70 and also do a bunch of extras for the gold. So far I'm only averaging around 6-7 hours per level which is super fast.

I found that it was generally better to do daily quests as opposed to many of the other ones (excepting perhaps the aldor/scryer chains) for gold/hour than the "standard quests."

I think it depends on how many quests you have left, how fast you are at questing, and how well you know the quests.
When my druid hit 70 a long time ago he hadn't really done many quests in SMV or Netherstorm yet, he had about 2000 gold. I got him to 5000 gold in something like 3 days just questing in those 2 zones, selling rewards I didn't need and getting 9-15g per quest.
Dailies take me WAY longer than that, especially since you have to travel between places, etc. I think if you still have some quest hubs available its faster to finish those first before doing dailies, personally.

I remember it being pretty painful until I hit Netherstorm, then it was really fun and quick. Pretty sure I entered Netherstorm at 67. Only did ramps 4 times, couldn't handle the other instances. Netherstorm totally rules though.

My shamans are just about to hit 67 - so far I've done about 1/3 instancing 2/3 questing. Did all the non collection quests in HFP, Zangar, Terrokar, and Nagrand, ran Ramps about 4 times and BF probably 10 (to first boss only), SP twice (once to 2nd boss once all the way through), mana tombs once so far. I'm about 5 bars from 67. I plan on finishing up 66 in UB (one run should do it), then moving on and running durnholde a few times until KoT honored before heading to BEM and then SMV to quest, that should get me to 69 or 70, at which point I'll do some SLabs or Sethekk to get honored with lower city and by then I'll be 70 and grab 5pc blue pvp, then finish questing in netherstorm for money while mixing in some BGs.
Right now I'm averaging around 7.5 hours per level, with a decent amount of slacking off.

Honestly, I don't quest ever... Having to look at my machine to GRIND in general is not worth my time.
I instanced every level from 1-64
5x chars, 1x paladin, 1x druid, 3x shaman.
All bosses in both wings of hellfire are easy to deal with if you know how.
Every boss so far has his or her niche tricks.
I find it effortless and easy to be able to login and just start instancing, almost effortless, good loot.
Not so bad really..
