View Full Version : HUEG unitframe? (lightweight)

I've been looking around them forums, and while addons like xperl and pitbull does offer this functionality, I'm wondering if there is a lightweight addon that does just this, or if there's a DIY hack I can use?
Specifically, I have four slaves crammed on the second monitor, and I'd like bigger self and target unitframes on the slaves so they're more readable.
Why bother with such an addon on the 4 'slaves' at all?
Run Pitbull on the main char on monitor 1 with big unit frames for all 5 party members, party targets, party pets, party pet targets etc and you rarely have to glance at the second monitor at all :)
Here's an example from my Warlocks where you can see all 5 Warlocks life and mana bars very clearly, plus cast bars, each Warlock's target, each Demon and each Demon's target, buffs, debuffs, aggro etc...

I only ever glance at the second monitor to double check that all 4 are still following, as it's sometimes difficult to see when they're all on the same pixel, or to work out why 1 of the 4 isn't casting (and it's usually 'cos she is a screen away stuck on a blade of grass:))
And to loot, of course.
This way, I only have Pitbull on 1 client and keep the number of addons on the 4 slaves to an absolute minimum.
Just an idea ^^
Yes, what moog said.
Your focus should be in a single area when multiboxing. It'll be too hard to split your attention to other instances when you really should be controlling everything from one.
I use Grid to show health, and pitbull for everything else. Pitbull shows me party targets so I know they're on the correct mob, and then I have the party frame only show their mana. That's all I need really.

I disagree, i have 4 windows of equal size than i mouse over to activate, i tried using PiP swap in keyclone in AV the other day, with 4 small windows and 1 large, by the time it managed to change all my toons were dead as the alliance ran out of Galvs room :) Admittedly the old 8800 GTS is a little old now, but its odd how i can play on 5 good sized windows and epic fail on 4 very small and one large. So for me, keeping all windows identical, with the same addons, macros, buttons etc is vital :)

Yes, mostly looking at the main monitor is what I do.
But I'd also like to have corresponding information for the particular window when I look at a slave.
Edit: my current solution on slaves is to enlarge the player frame and shrink the party frame using x-perl. It's not quite light weight but it seems to run smoothly.
