sorry if this question is answered elsewhere, but
i was sondering is it possible to dual box on a single pc using a single monitor,
with only 1 instance of wow being maximized at all times?
by this i mean that the second character should act according to the macrod commands

The Wiki is your friend.

How to Box 5 accounts (or 2 or 3 or 4...) ('http://dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=1767')

There isnt any problem using one maximized window and one hidden, althought it might be a little harder to keep up with that extra character sometimes..

Hope that helps

Howdy Meilin and welcome to the forums!

yes, there is no problem with that. most people in that situation would leave their wow normal size, just behind the active wow, set the fps to 5/30 (or whatever works) and just use PiP swap to bring the character you want to the front

if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

have a great weekend,

Rob (keyclone developer)

have a great weekend,

Rob (keyclone developer)i meant more along the lines of being able to control all functions of both toons/characters at same time from one screen without having to switch between instances,
i think this is possible, but when i read posts it seems like everyone that dual boxes/multiboxes uses multiple screens to monitor every aspect of the characters they play
it is a possibility for me to use two monitors, but i dont know how my video card would feel about that
i use 2 gb ram and have a dual core processor
i have 8600 gt (whatever model) nvidia
but i really want to run two instances simultaneously without having to switch back and forth
basically i want to have a second character that i can control follow my main character

Check out his signature. Most of us use separate monitors or split screen so we can see what is going on with the characters but there is no reason you can't play exactly how you are describing.

absolutley, We dont have one downsized.. more like a smaller instance up with a larger one at the same time... this allowing you to see them both.. and control either one by doing pipswap or simply moving your mouse over to the other wow =D def check out Keyclones sig. it does wonders
