So I'm new to dual boxing/Multi boxing. I'm starting with just 2 accounts and I sort of have 2 problems. I've tried leveling 2 shamans together and it just goes incredibly slow, I get level 10 after hours and hours. Another issue I seem to be having is running my lowbies through instances with my main, I try starting with RFC as soon as the character gets to 8 and run them through there with my 70 Hunter and that too is extremley slow :\ Am I doing something wrong? ?( :cursing:

It's slower than solo single character leveling because of collection quests taking 2x the time, and instance boosting with a 70 has never been faster than solo questing.
5xboxers don't have much of a problem because they don't need the level 70 toon sucking up all the experience when instancing, so that goes pretty fast. Sucks for the 2-3 boxers, so you're just going to have to deal with it. Best advice I can give you is to invite a couple more lowbies to fill out your 5 man RFC group. The more lowbies in the group, the more group experience you get.
Get ready to run RFC about 40 times, then WC about 30 times, then RFK about 20 times, then SM about a 1000 times. The other option is to stick to 2boxing quests for a slightly slower but less monotonous pace. Goodluck!

oHaha boosting is the fastest way to go, I boost my 4 shaman with a 70 mage, and i get 1lvl every 45mins or less, in SM, and im way to young to be in that instance, when iget to lvl 30 ill be getting lvls much faster.

sadly leveling as a boxing team is extremely slow, im 5boxing and im doing it through quests only doing the instance one time to get the quests done ... collecting quests take forever as A: droprate sucks:B you need more then the usual 10 for 1 character so it takes forever
you could just solo instances (well youcan't with 2 though but you could ask a friend to boost you through ... allot :p) as instances go faster (elite mobs and everything) but it's so boring that I prefer questing

i found leveling 2 to be pretty fast, but that was 2 Belf mages. 3 is another story. Now that I got them to the 30's (three warlocks) I'm going to take the plunge and 5-box - adding a Pally and a Priest to the mix so that I can be sure to instance-grind alone the rest of the way. I think it will actually be faster to do the 5 that way than the 3 alone.
Shaman just take a bit with the totem quests and the orc/ troll / tauren starting areas are slow compared to the BC style of the Belf starting area which is insanely fast. If i remember correctly the level 20 totem quest is a super long chain that is freakin annoying.

As far as I can tell, you need to find a balance. As you know, the more people in your group, the less XP you get from killings.
Now say this was the value of your xp:
solo - 5
two people - 4
three people - 3
four people - 2
five people - 1
But of course, when measuring the kill speed:
solo - 1
two - 2
three - 3
four - 4
five - 5
OFC assuming they are all dps.
So with more people you kill faster but get less xp, with two people you kill slower but get more xp. As it is, in any DB case, its always much longer 1-70 however your doing more than 1 char at a time. So if you look at say 1-20 solo is say 7 hours. 1-20 dual boxing 2 is say 11 hours, technically you did 1-20 twice :)
so whats the best way to boost if you just have one to level up?

so whats the best way to boost if you just have one to level up?Quest, quest, and quest more. Use a leveling guide past 20, and do every quest you can find. I found my two shaman leveled fairly fast after 20, as they start getting very useful skills like ressing and healing, and the mana and life totems help a lot, and you start getting decent gear. Quest at the orange level, and just grind it out. Once you get to 30 and the revamped exp curve, you'll level fast.
Look into 3 accounts, tho. It's MUCH better, you can move a 70 to it, and use it to run your two toon teams through instances for gear, and you can run a 3 man team, which rocks.
