I know the lan center owner around here very well, and can prob get something setup for a cheap rate, and have a ALL DAy lan event, would you guys be interested in this? we can all meet up, i know alot of people are from florida here, and it would be worth the drive.

let me know what u think

It wouldnt cost more then 5-7$ for the actualy lan, gas sucks tho haha. another thing, the place is a really nice lan, not a garage, its a fully operated buisness , we will just be taking it over :) and impressing normal wow players with our l33tness. my boosting is going well so hopefully ill be 70 by the time we do this.

To bad i'm Dutch (well, for this case :p)

We have a weekly LAN on Friday eve and it's always great fun.
There's a 3 day event next month,
but usually these bigger LAN's are crawling with kiddos who insist on playing their fps games online and screw up the internetz.
(FFS look around you, there's 300 people on the Lan playing the same game)

I hope you get to set this up,
If you do, post some pictures here ;)

Would be interesting, and if i'm ever going to lan, doing it before my insane hardware rampage is complete would be best (You know 3 monitors travels better then 6). Florida needs to get smaller, I'm just up in PCola, and it's still 8 hours to the Tampa area.

I'd like to have a get together sometime later this year, unsure about an actual LAN event though as moving various pieces of hardware is more effort than fun :)

I just looked up the zip code and doesn't look like anything is around that my wife would like. What if we did like a cookout or something around Disney. It will be easy to talk the wife into going to a cookout 1 day in Disney. Could be a couple minutes away from Disney cause i know they are not cheap to get stuff.

Unfortunately LAN party would not work for me but a get together would be awesome. Driving south to the Disney area would be about my limit range wise, it's about an hour and a half drive for me. Before having a family and kids a LAN party for FPS was my wet dream, never been to one but now FPS make me physically ill. Also, since my family plays WoW I can't leave them here while I LAN party and I'm not packing up multiple systems, LOL.

I don't know if a LAN party would be worth the logistics. Getting together for a cookout would be great. If you setup a LAN, I might stop by to share ideas and such, but probaby wouldn't bother bringing a PC.

A get together doesnt sound like a bad idea at all. I'm sure there is enough of us to have a decent gathering!
