View Full Version : What to do now?

I've come to the point where I do not feel like there is much of a challenge left. Farmed the S2 gear I wanted, proven to myself that I can do HC instances and the Arena is unfortunatly unappealing to me (only took the Brutal gloves).
So the question is, what now!? I must admit I did love normal BG farming, but I don't think I really need much from there. I've cleared all HC's not counting MGT (damn you Vexallus!!) and I really couldn't justify myself to badge farming as the upgrades are not that big. So I ask again, what now!?

I took a break from WoW and got back to my other passion, Hold 'Em. Yet I sit there playing it and keep thinking "there must be more for my shamans".

I atm play mainly my 4 shammies + priest (or feral druid if needed), was thinking about boosting a 5th shammy up instead of the priest as Vexallus needs the 1 extra dps to drop him.

Well, any thoughts and ideas are very welcome :)

Ta in advance!!

You could try and find a group willing to take your 5 in on raids. Raiding might bring a new challenge to you.

Other than that it might be an idea to take a break from wow till wotlk (horrible to say I know) or an alternative is to try and level another group, something that might require more micromanagement, something that could do heroics but will be harder to do than with the shaman.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah I was thinking about raiding but the problem there is the schedules. My women hates WoW (thinks all sorts of computer games are for kids, also she does the "L" for love quote, see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMZqxhYjQsA when I even mention WoW :D ) and got lots of RL stuff that comes in the way for guilding (big reason for why I multibox) so I can not commit myself to a raiding guild.

Well for the other group idea, I really don't see the point as I can and have cleared all the HC instances I wanted to (exclude HC MGT).

The break from WoW until WOTLK is something that I am considering, just feels kind of silly though as I put so much effort into my shammies. Might think about finding a healing partner for arenas and trying to learn the 5v5 game.

The point was to give yourself more of a challenge. Shamans appear to make mincemeat of instances heroic or otherwise (e.g the easymode of multiboxing - before I'm flamed I know it's not easy to complete the heroics and it takes great skill, I merely meant that they have abilities x5 that make things a lot simpler, but if you were to go in with a group that would require more micromanagement then you might get some more enjoyment from it. (However levelling 5 new characters to 70 just to do this sounds like a nightmare :) )

i faced the same dilema since about when S4 came out. Got the upgrades I'd saved for, then felt I really couldn't be bothered with the shammies for now. The way I see it, I'm not gonna dominate in Arenas (partner transferred anyway), and the gear they have is fine for Wrath. I'll probably come back to them and farm a few dailies/finally get my Shattered Sun rep about a month before Wrath. In the mean time, I've been levelling a 5th shaman rested so I've got a 5 man team to blast through Wrath content, and I've rerolled a priest, 4x hunter team on a new realm, which is super fun. Got my mounts yesterday.

I've always been one for the alts though, when I get bored with a char or group, I'll take a break for a bit, then come back when I feel revitalised.

Good luck with whatever your choice ends up being.

You have your Netherdrakes yet? If not, that will keep you busy for a bit.

For me, one of the big things I want to do once I get to 70 and geared up is see how far I can get in the old 40 mans. On my hunter, I love trying to solo instances, so this is just the next step. Maybe make it your goal to do the AQ scepter quest line or something like that? Although some of BWL may not be doable 5-man.

Thanks all, got some really good and interesting ideas from you'll. A good thing about friday nights is that you always seem to forget about WoW and come back refreshed (great Iron Maiden gig btw :D )
I will start off with boosting my 5th shammy and gearing him up. Maybe it will be a bit more relaxing just to do some good old fashion boosting.

What about geting some moonkin gearing and get even more dps then adding in 1 more shammy.

For alot of ppl the game stops when you finaly got the lvl, rep and gear you wanted all from the start.. Its kinda sad... I'm happy that i love arena and that was my goal for lvling my grp of shammys.
