I have 2 copies of WoW on a single computer. After patching my main WoW folder via the launcher, I changed the registry settings to my WoW2 folders and patched the second folder. No problems here and have reverted registry back to original folder.

Problem is everytime I launch the WoW from the second folder, the "Licence Agreement has changed" window keep coming up and I have to scroll down and accept the new agreement. The 2nd WoW copy do not register that I have already accepted the agreement before and the window keep returning everytime I launch WoW. What did I do wrong?

Ask on the wow forums IMO, maybe others are having problem, just back up the WTF folder and addons then copy your main folder to a new directory then place the WTF and addons in that folder. If one works, then do that.

I guess this is more of a multi-boxing issue cos the main copy is working fine. The WoW directory is pretty large (over 8GB) so I prefer not recopying the files everytime there is a new patch. For now, I am just scrolling down and accepting the new licence eveytime I start WoW :S

There are three cvars that should be saved in config.wtf. I think they're called

readtos
readeula
readterminationwithoutnotice

These should all be set to '1' to prevent them popping up each time you start WoW.

Just making sure- You are quitting WoW cleanly via the 'Exit Game' option and not just closing the window? Often just closing means WoW doesn't do its normal exit stuff so changes etc. are lost.

I play on a Mac, I assume Window should work the same. I patch my main WoW then copy the patch to my other WoW directories, launch them and let them patch. It sees that the patch is already there so it doesn't down load it again and patches those WOWs. I'm not sure why you would have to muck with the registry (worst OS feature ever).

Do any of you windows guys patch the way I do? Why doesn't it work?

Problem resolved. For some reason, there is this file onetime.wtf created in the wtf directory and it resets the readtos status everytime i launch WOW. Manually deleted this file and everything back to normal
