I thought they made Vexallus easier?

I've just tried doing Heroic MgT. I've been farming it for nealry 2 weeks now every day, without any problems. Now today, with the new patch, I just wiped 3 times on vexallus.

I usually survived the fights with all 5 ppl standing, sometiems I lost 1.. but I just wiped a couple of times and wasn't even close to killing him.


Any idea why?


edit: maybe important to know:

- setup is 4 ele shammies + holy priest
- It seemed that my elementals died far faster
- It seemed that there were far more of those bolt thingies alive

maybe they 'fixed' that they blow up when u use lightning shield?

Hmm, I didn't get to try it yesterday. I hope it hasn't been changed, though keeping fire totems down could probably be a decent replacement for lightning shield if that is the case.

I think i wipe bcs i do it to fast, i have lots and lots of pure energy up and baaam i die, dunno but do they spawn 2x every 15% of his life or what is it ? maby try to do it abit slower. i dunno but i just cant make it, and i have kinda good gear

the more that are up the more interupts to your casts there is, it's imperative to kill them asap

Tried it yesterday night with fire elementals and normal fire totems and neither worked. I think slow and steady is probably going to be the best way :/

Plop them down 20+ yards away from Vex so they only go after pure energies when they move towards you. Fire Ele's, Magma, and Nova will not work however, since they are non-AOEable.

sure that works now after new patch ? :)Yeah, lightning shield no longer procs and it's a pain to make sure your searings are out of range of vex to target the pure energies. Really, making it more trouble than it's worth and extremely unreliable, since if he moves just a tad with the earth elementals up (which happens often) your searings will go to town on him. Earth Shock method works fine tho.
