Gear order, shaman set bonus for uninterrupt

It seems to me that the 50% uninterrupt set bonus on lightning bolt, which is the 4-piece set bonus on elemsham arena gear.. is CRUCIAL to arena play.
Am I right?


Basically, I'm deciding between going for S2 armor parts, or going for guardian/vindicator parts.

i got 4 parts S2, then went vindi/guardian belt, this week i pick up S3 chest which completes my epic set. I've not overly noticed the bonus of the 4 piece set in the BGs, stuff just dies. As for Arena, i dont expect any good results until i get 800+ spell damage.....which was actually on Monday :D

Honor: S2 mace, S2 helm, <I'm here> S2 shoulders, guardian/vindicator stuff
Arena points: <I'm here> S4 gloves, S4 legs, S3 chest, S3/S4 shield


So that I get 2 parts from S2, and 2 parts from S4.. to get the 4 piece bonus. Looks good? Basically I'm skipping the pvp shield because I think the 4-piece bonus will be more rewarding.

I had S2 shoulders from last season (from arena points)
This season:
S3 Legs
S2 Helm
S2 Mace
S2 Gloves (next bg purchase)
S3 Chest (next arena purchase)

Then I will fill in the rest of the slots

I based the order on my current gear (I had horrible legs/helm so I got those first) and on the BG tokens required. I am avoiding WSG and AB tokens as much as possible and getting S3 gear instead in those slots.

The set bonus is great. But the only class I ever notice that gives me any problems are huntards. And their usually number 1 on my kill order because they die so quickly.

My normal strat is to buy items that wont be replaced by arena gear. I buy all my rings, necklaces, bracers, boots, belt before moving on to upgrading my rep or gladiator set. The weapon and shield fall into this category because its going to be awhile until you hit the requirement for S3 or S4. As far as prioritizing its based on a mix of dmg, stamina, and resilience. PvP items rarely provide a huge increase over questing gear dmg. The Stamina is always an insane increase.

The most efficient way of gearing up imo is buying the accessories first. If you can schedule the amount of honor/arena points you earn and buy the gear so you never replace a piece of arena gear before having all your Guardians pieces that would be ideal.
