Currently have my main on my 24" Dell, and my secondary on a crapy 15" CRT
I have found if I get widescreen 17" Dells they align perfectly when put portrait next to my 24, I wanna get 2 of these but can't currently think of a good way to attach them.
Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking of making my own mount but not really sure where to start, about to start looking at places I can buy them pre-built.
Cheers :D
20.1" also align nearly perfectly next to a 30" :)

But don't pay their prices.
Ergotron makes all of the mounts I use. Solid aluminum and steel. They just work. Not cheap though. www.ergotron.com - I use the DS100 series but their newer ones offer more adjustments at a higher price. Search Ebay and the like - you can usually find good deals as the DS100 line has been discontinued.
Another option is to just build one yourself.

Something like that would work and be quite cheap. Not as versatile but they all use standard 100mm VESA mounts with the same screws.

Looking at this I'd be worried about it tipping, with the 24 on one side and the 17 on the other
Nah - those are rock solid. The bases are much larger than you think they are. If you are REALLY concerned, get a grommet or desk clamp mount. I have one that holds up 6 monitors and could hold up many more with no problems.
