New 5boxer: Maximizer for 1680x1050 res

Hi guys,

First of all thank you Keyclone for existing. :)

Well now that I played a lot with triboxing and even with different classes (priest/lock/mage was really fun!) I ended up running a 5box. Now my doubt is: how do I setup Maximizer to have 5 screens in the right ratio? What I thought was having 2 big screens at the top (tank and healer) and the 3 dps at the bottom. Could you guys give me a light on how to make it in the same ratio as my screen?

My screen resolution is 1680x1050 (22" LCD Screen).

EDIT: Here is what I'm trying right now:
TANK - 840x630 pixels, HEALER - 840x630 pixels, setup at 800x600 (closer I could get)
DPS1, DPS2, DPS3 - 560x398, setup at 800x600 as well (don't know if I can use 640x480)
All of them as 1,3 aspect ratio.

Oh, I have the windows xp toolbar at the top which gets me 22pixels less, that's why those weird height values. By the way, anyone knows how to get rid of this windows startbar???

most 5 boxers use a seccond screen for tank, or a x setup (each of the slaves in the corrners of the x with the tank in the center

Rght click whitespace on the toolbar -> Properties.
De-Select Keep the taskbar on top of other windows.
and you can also select auto-hide the taskbar.

your aspect ratios seem to be off a bit.

after you hide the task bar, try setting the dimensions like this:

big regions = 840 x 630
smaller regions = 560 x 420

i got those magic numbers by solving the following for h:

840 / (1050 - h) = 560 / h

i could post the max file, but i'm not able to at the moment (at work)... hopefully that will be enough

if you got it right, the minimaps should be perfect circles.

also, set your game resolutions to 840 x 630.. this will insure proper aspect ratios when you pip swap

Thank you guys for the answers. I wish I had a second monitor... in fact I do but it's too old and crappy and it's a 17" CRT - I really god used with LCD. Well, if I really enjoy 5x I can afford a new monitor... that would be wild. :)

Oh the tip about the toolbar... was that obvious? I felt a little dumb :P

Key, I'll try those resolutions you talked about. Played a little on the ones I mentioned and felt my tank and healer needed a little more of my screen... any suggestions? I don't think it'll look good thou :(
