View Full Version : Stuck at 57... what to do?

My four toons are stuck at 57 (only about 3 bars in). I've done every quest in WPL, EPL, and Silithus that wasn't a collection quest. Winterspring would take over an hour to get to and is mostly collection quests, and Burning Steppes is garbage for Horde.
I tried Strat with my 70 warlock boosting, but it's slow (40-50k and he gets his ass kicked half the time). Just tried a Scholo run and it's tough and yields only around 50k per hour. Tried using the alts for curse of shadow, misery and shadow weaving debuffs to speed things up, but they just get wrecked by random AOEs or summoned skeletons.
Any ideas on multiboxing friendly quests or grinding areas to get this last level before I can head to Outlands? Or should I just tough it out and grind Scholo for about 4 hours? Thanks for any suggestions :)

get a bear , tankadin or warrior with decent gear and rape ramparts till 60 :) (3-4 runs per level , nice gear & rep .. i do that with my 4 shammis + t6 fury main atm .. boring but fastest way to get to 60 & give em a nice bit of gear)

Tried BRD? Tons of quests and mobs there. Don't know though, if your team is already able to solo instances.
BRD Quests ('http://www.wowhead.com/?quests=2.1584')
Had much fun in there with my team.

The Felwood -> Winterspring quests are all simple Kill X furbolgs. It should only take 15-20 minutes to get into Winterspring now. The first kill quest gets you unfriendly to travel through the tunnel.
In Everlook you also have the former elite chain that starts with Ursius and nets tons of exp. Get cracking!!!!

Go winterspring,
You have 3 or 4x kill furbolgs,
collect 5 stones at the 60 frost elites
a crate next to the way south of everlook to grab a thing up, then farm for an other thing.
ursius and a big flying lvl 60 guy, also gives exp
Dig stones in the ice.
And some more, that must have give you atleast 40% of level exp.

I would buy a bunch of green gear from the AH that comes from the outlands, it's not too expensive and it's probably better than anything you have including many blues.
if your miner or skinner is not to level 300 yet then you should work 100% of your time getting them there. Winterspring and the badlands just before the outland are good for the miner leveling ( probably the best place for miner leveling is the zone before the outlands, just do a circle around it without going into the demon area.
then I would move to the outlands and kill boars, if you can kill the stuff below the hellfire citidel in the trench you can get ( honor hold/ thralmar ) reputation to something like friendly or so.
If you can't go the outland directly yet then ask a warlock or a mage to transport your team there.

I'd get ported to Outlands if I were that stuck. I still had zones left over when I dinged 58 so happily that wasn't the case, but even simple mob grinding in Hellfire (which you could easily do at 57) will be way faster than anything in Azeroth I reckon.

It's silly but you can get a decent amount of xp by doing the initial cloth turnin quests. Wool, slik, mageweave and then runecloth.
And as been said, do the BRD quests. Most of it should be doable, except maybe the 7 dwarves and probably the Lyceum (whoever thought up that room and put it in that instance at that level needs to be shot).

This is what I've done in the past. Get a port to shart. Go to Hellfire and grind on some mobs for 1 evening.
You'll get some green drops. The xp is pretty decent. Just no quests yet.
I was fine doing this solo with a rogue at 55. Multiboxing at 57 should be cake.

Grind in Outlands to 60.
The xp per mob is double. You divide it four ways, then get a group bonus.
You get about 75% of what you'd get for a solo kill in the old world, but you have multiple times the firepower.
I did this solo with a mage at 57, getting 500+ a kill, 1000+ rested. You should get at least half that much and be able to mow things down. You can also start quests at 58. Don't worry about running out of quests in outland either, there are just tons of them.

Grind in Outlands to 60.
I got to 58 from felwood/winterspring quests, then jumped to Outlands and haven't looked back. The armory in southern Hellfire is a fantastic place to grind easy xp/loot/cloth, but the orcs in southeast Hellfire are the best to start earning rep. Kill 600 of them to make friendly with your Hellfire faction before even doing a single quest.
