keymaps are useful. map the keys normally for each wow.. and then map them as you see fit.
ie:
you need an opening salvo... hit 4.. which will be different things to different classes... as the 4 would get changed into a 5 for the warrior (charge) .. a 3 for the priest(shield focus) and fireballs for the mages (f2)
if that sounds like what you need, just let me know and i'll see about getting you more info

Put attack and heal on the same button but set your heal macro to use a modifier.
/castsequence [modifier:alt] reset=18/combat renew, flash heal, greater heal, greater heal, greater heal, greater heal
or something like that. Lots of ways to skin this cat. ;)

:DYeah that sounds sorta what i want. But for what i want to use this for mainly for dailies. my priest doesn't need to be healing all the time. So i don't want my priest doing anything every time i hit key 2 for MS or something like that.
I was thinking of mapping my priest spells on the f keys but i don't want to have to change do not pass list and the keys for everytime i want to use the chars solo.
I hope you know what i mean.

Something like Bongo's, that allows you to map multiple keys to the same slot, is really useful for this.
For example, I have the 1 hotkey bound to fireball/scorch rotation on my mages, lightning bolt on my shaman and lolsmite on my priest. My priest and shaman have heal macros bound to 3 different keys (for small, big and group heals) but since my mages can't heal I use Bongo to map these key combos to the 1 hotkey on my mages, then when I have to cast heals my mages still dps at the same time....just makes it much easier.
I've approached it a little different, i dualbox with 2 mages.
Normal 1 till + is to cast spells for both chars. on 2 fe is fireball for the one, and frost bolt for the other. So pressing 2 results in 1 frostbolt and 1 fireball.
CTRL normal 1 till ctrl0 however, only the main casts.
Numpad 1-0 only the 2nd toon cast spells.
I'm not happy with the CTRL solution though, maybe change it to ctrl+key is casting both.
I walk with wsad for the main and arrowkeys for 2nd toon.
This way they are pretty able to live a own life :)
With more toons I doubt this wil work haha.
I think with different classes this will work.
Will try it one day... I hope

i have 2 teams with priests, and i had the same problem u did, i didn't need him really healing while doing dailies and what not so i use the Numpad for the priests spells and 1 through = and shift 1 through = for my dps/tanking buttons/macro's.
my priests binds look something like this
Numpad
0 = Targetself cast flash heal
. = Holy Nova
1 = Target party leader cast flash heal
2 = target party2 flash heal
3 = target party3 flash heal
4 = target party4 flash heal
5 = flash heal (whoever is targeted)
6 = renew (whoever is targeted)
7 = greater heal (whoever is targeted)
8 = PW:Shield (again whoever is targeted)
9 = circle of healing
it took me about an hour to relearn all my healing spells as for 4 years almost i've been a regular dual boxer, using 2 keyboards tanking on main pc healing on other with right hand reaching over to use f1-f5 to target party members and then the 1-6 and shift 1-6 to heal, pretty much macro free. going to 4-5 boxing from 2 boxing i found i really needed to use a LOT more macro's than i ever did before. i still haven't got into the Focus macro's but i do understand how powerful and useful they can be, i'm just an old dog and can't learn new tricks that easily so i've stayed away from focus.

For the early levels and not to complicate things, I did buttons 1-5 for one class and 6-= for the other class.
I didnt have may skills at lowbie level anyways and its not like you are going to press them all for example..just spam lightning bolt!

Macros are the way to go. I click my opener for my pally, then mash the '2' key for the rest of the fight for all five of them to do their thing.
Clicked:
Dynamite
Avenger's shield
Exorcism (if needed)
pally:
seal, judge, consecrate
shaman:
chain lightning, LB, LB, LB, LB
The pally gets and keeps their attention. Shaman open up a can of massive DPS since the pally output about 2.5k threat in the first two seconds at lvl 58. Dynamite is used to pull since I've had a few less than fun jumps by the shield. (group, pat, different group for a 7+ pull) Single pulls I just smash the '2' key and don't even worry about clicking things.
