This weekend, I ran into someone who saw me doing my multiboxing stuff and he tried to blackmail me!
I found it quite a gem, so I thought I should share it with you:

Thats when you open a trade window, put in 2000g, and then go AFK for a few hours, never pushing "trade"Hahaha great idea!
Although it has 2 problems:
- the game disconnects after about 15min of AFK
- not playing WoW for a few hours ... are you mad? :P

LOL. What a tool! I bet he's a botter, too, or an AFKer.

VERY important that the GM told you flat out you were doing nothing wrong, and Blizzard will do nothing to you if reported. This is what the idiots need to see, posted in General, GMs saying in black and white that MBing is in no way against the rules.

How can people seriously believe they are the first people to notice that you are boxing or they are the first person to report you...

Been there myself. Did a report x5 and after I saw him log out ~2 hours later he never came back on ever again. The guy wanted 6k gold so he could buy his epic flier or he'd report me. Kinda funny making that kind of demand from level 7's that were sitting in Shat.

When I was first trying out 5-boxing, I was leveling up 5 shaman on a PVE server, and ran into a kid who threatened to report me if I didn't tell him where to get the software that allowed me to log in five of my characters from one account. Once I explained that I was playing on five accounts, he lost interest. :)

So I'm sitting in entrance to Scholomance yesterday after a wipe checking inventories and looking at gear (tummy issues in the middle of a pull FTL ../forum/images/smilies/blink.png) and here's some moron crying in /1 about me using some cheat to farm Scholomance with five guys.

Apparently he was mad that with his uber skills at 64 he couldn't solo the place in greens as a rogue and wanted in my group since he wanted my blues. (hint: first real boss is 62e and the basic dungeon set sucks, it's lvl 53 gear...) After a quick retort or two and some off hand comments about his AH green gear collection being better than my stuff by a lot, I dropped one of my girls. I ran in with him, he pulled all four guys at the front gate and I ran back out after I watched him die. ../forum/images/smilies/whistling.png

him /p: wtf loser, farm it for me or i report
me /w: Sorry, playing 4 toons at once is too boring for me and i've lost interest in playing with you. I'm not going to "farm it for you" just so you won't report me for playing within the rules.
/kick
/ignore
/report x 5

Up until that point in time, the guy was just annoying. After he said that it was all over. The annoying ones I just ignore, the abusive ones get taken care of.

Now on the other hand, there were a bunch of 70's that I buffed on their way through to the entrance and they always said thank you. Some were a bit disappointed that I hit 58 since I wipe a heck of a lot less than I did at 56 so I'm not there to buff them as much when they reset. But all of them are decent to me and some even tip for buffs.

Even if it's for five minutes that would be an eternity of torment for the fool and hours of torment afterward.

I was happily killing some of the ogres in Nagrand yesterday for their beads and ended up doing the first few parts of the "Ring of Blood" quest series where you fight a series of elites. A druid was standing nearby and asked if they could join as they'd like to get the reward too, I said that this was a full group but if he wanted I'd happily stand back and provide some added DPS as he did the quest. We did the first one or two no problems then he said a friend of his was coming to help too, and sure enough a guildmate of his popped up about 10s later.. a fairly well-equipped lvl70 Warrior.

We did one round of it and then the fun started. Hope you can excuse the lack of screenshots here but this was the basic conversation:

Warrior: Heal me next time
Me: Druid, can you heal him? I have trouble healing people outside my party whilst also doing damage.
Druid: Okay, but I am feral.
Warrior: Yeah, this guy and his three bots don't heal.
Me: There're actually four of them, full 5-man instance group, I do heal but either inside the party or not whilst doing damage, they're not bots, and it's all legal :)
Warrior: Sure. They're bots and you're reported.
Me: See you
<Totemic Recall, Follow, wander away..>

Did say sorry to the druid for leaving but I wasn't willing to stand there and be accused of being a cheat.

Oddly enough not heard from the GMs despite being on for a loooong time after that. Did find the situation of a guy reporting me for helping his guildmate with a quest to be faintly ridiculous though.

Time spent dealing with QQ'rs: 10 minutes
Time spent plotting their demise: 5 minutes
Watching them die: Priceless!

I doubt I would have bothered doing the same, not that I wouldn't have wanted to, I'm just lazy. But I don't mind living vicariously through your story! Thanks!

My first 70 was a shadow priest who use to take a lot of abuse for not having a full healing set to swap in to use at a moments notice (i.e. middle of a fight). I use to do the same thing, except I'd pull with rank 1 mind blast, fade, shield and run out. Nobody ever paid enough attention to see that I'd swapped out my boots for faster run speed. I hate PUG's with a passion.

It's a great idea to invite them and getting them killed!

I've had like 15 people tell me "REPORTED" and I've yet to hear from a single GM over it. So either they aren't really reporting me or the GM's aren't going to waste their time talking to me about something we both know is legal and legit.

If there was a GM ticket for every time I had someone yell "REPPOTTED FOR HAX!!!!" the GM's that service Norg would be ankle deep in there every time I visit SW for AH/skills/vendor/reagents/goofing around. Then again it's getting to be less and less with all the people who end up on my /ignore list. Yet another reason I trade channel with an alt for everything since it's hard to sell to a customer base that you can't get messages from. ../forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.png
