Hi, I know there is a cheap IO Gear KVM switch on Newegg.com which has mostly good reviews, but I was curious if you guys have any recommendations (I want to spend as little as possible). I have a nice CRT & no room for my old 13" CRT on my desk (it's too big & too heavy) so I want to hook up my old P3 machine alongside my Core 2 Duo. Having two computers so I can use the Internet on either one & play games, etc. on the other is a great thing. Also, I need to be able to access the files on both, etc.

So, I have two towers, one keyboard (ms natural elite, p/s 2) & some mechanical p/s 2 mice as well as an MX700 wireless. I want to use one keyboard, one monitor, & one mouse with the ability to switch back & forth to either computer.

Thanks for your help!

If you're not set on a hardware solution you could always try a software solution.

Check out Kavoom... http://www.kavoom.biz/

I use KavoomKM and have 1 keyboard + 1 mouse and 2 screens for my 5-boxing (1+4) and it works really well - I just move the mouse off the right hand edge of PC1 and the keyboard+mouse move to PC2.
They also do KavoomKVM if you only want 1 screen.

You can download and try them for 30m or so.

Thanks, but I specifically want a hardware KVM for what I'm doing (see my first post).
