Hello there all,

I have been dual boxing for some time now. I have been trying different classes ,and now is the time that i am finally able to get a better setup to quadbox with. I Am mainly focussing on PvE with this setup. The regular 5 mans and eventually heroics with a healer friend of mine. Im wondering if this setup wil be working good. The setup will be 2x SL/SL warlock and 2x Shadowpriest

I wil roll them undeads , so the priests will have 1 extra dot wich might be helpfull , as well as will of the forsaken. the tactics would be Using voidwalkers as tank , taking the 15% dmg reduction on pets in the warlock tree , putting dots on the enemies and keeping the pets up with vampiric embrace / constant health funneling while keeping up dots. How will this work in low lv dungeons? And will this work in higher lv dungeons? your advice and tips are very welcome.

Sounds like a good idea. Visit the video department and check out some of the preist warlock combos and see how you like them (from watching). I heard a pally and 4 priests is very nice , just not burst dmg like my shammies ;) 8|

It may work but in higher level dungeons voidwalkers cannot tank, No chance

My main is a lock, and a VW can not hold agro with just one locks dots on it, not to mention 2 spriests and 2 locks.

Will felguard tank better? Maybe its better to get felguards tanking instead of Voidwalkers? Or is it just not possible to tank with pets? My friend is resto druid, and i have 1 resto shammy friend also.

Once you start the 70 instances no pet will be able to tank it

Keep them shadow and have vampyrics like mad..
Or go holy and find out how usefull the palladin's Improved Sanctity Aura is (12% xtra holy damage)

Felguard is significantly worse at mitigating damage than the VW. And a VW can't tank in instances (at least in the traditional hold aggro, get healed, sort of way).

for PvE I'd go full blown Priest, that way you can grab a tank and do DPS while it heals the tank, very good synergy.

Felguard can hold aggro a little better than VW but he still wont last long with VE healing it. If pets could tank instances there would be no place for prot Warriors/Paladins.

I was thinking , why earth elementals can then... I saw 5 shaman using 3 fire + 2 earth elemental + pop heroism doing Heroic MgT with the elemenals tanking.. I didnt saw them healing any other then themselves and they completed it succesfully. Whats the difference in armor/hp/threat with Earth elemental vs 2-3 Felguards. Also i wont be using the lock for full dps but just put dots up and then exchange between health funnel and drain life and recasting the dots while they all get hp+ mana from the shadowpriests. its not even needed to do heroics , just the regular 70 instances.

Might be doable with Soul Link... dot the mobs, then heal the pet. Rely on SP to heal party. Bosses would be tough. You have very very low DPS.

I'm running this exact combination right now. They're all level 57.

Priests are specced heavy shadow and Warlocks are specced affliction. I try to get as much synergy as possible on the shadow damage. One priest is specced for misery (+5% spell dmg), and both have shadow weaving. One warlock is also specced for Malediction (13% increased shadow damage with curse of shadows) and uses that while the other warlock uses curse of agony. The damage boost is pretty significant for all 4 characters when this stuff stacks.

Of course my main goal is PVP, but it seems to work nicely in pve as well (just questing now). With all the dots ticking my group can handle a lot. 2x vampiric embrace really helps keep the hp up. Last night I ran into qual'tharas (or whatever) in EPL at level 56 and fought of 7 level 60 mobs without a sweat. Dot em up and round robin fear bombs.

I think at 70 I will probably get a paladin or warrior to tank instances. I don't know that it's possible to do heroics with voidwalker or felguard tanks...

Oh, and at 55 the group killed a 70 shaman in season 2. And I'm still SM gear and lvl 30 greens...haha. I was proud of that :)

I’m 68 now with 4 locks and a holy priest.

If you want to focus on PVE, you must have a Pally tank. Voidwalkers do not make good tanks; they do not scale with gear, and get crit often.
Right now, I just manage normal 5 mans. I don’t see this setup doing heroics without a real tank. As luck would have it my irl is a prot pally. I’ll just have to rotate my toons to sit out a run for him to come in. Do yourself a favor now and just make one to roll with the group, you’ll thank me later.
