I was wondering if it was possible to cap the FPS on the instances of my WoW that run my slaves. I think I did read somewhere that it was possible but I cannot find out how (on this site or through Google). And, if it is possible, would it improve my overall lag or will it only be a small difference?

Edit: currently using Octopus if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

its a setting called maxfpsbk

I think you can just add it in your wow .ini file. I use it through keyclone

edit: and yes, its a big difference

Awesome, thank you.

After googling that term I figured out you can use:
/console maxfps <fps>
to set your maximum fps when you are controlling that sfreen
/console maxfpsbk <fps>
to set your maximum fps when you are running in the background

Btw i have been wondering what might be the minimum fps that slaves can have, i got maxfps 30 atm (3 toons with 1 pc) and i have been wondering can i use even lower fps setting with slaves.. Or is there some reason (lag etc.) that limits the fps settings?

If you have 1.3.5b version of Octopus, there's an input field for maxfps and maxfpsbk for each instance in the profiles section.
