:!: **Warning Wall of Text, my apologies*** :!:

My spec :
http://talentcalculator.merciless-gilde.com/?lang=en&v=2.0.3&dl=NC83MC8xODI6Mjc2LTM7MjcwLTU7Mjc0LTI7MjczLTI7Mjg xLTE7MjY5LTV8fDE4MzoyNDEtMTsyNjEtNTsxNzAwLTI7MjQ0L TU7MjYzLTM7MjQ1LTM7MTEyMy0zOzI4NC0xOzE3MDEtMjsxNzE zLTM7MTcwMi01OzM4MS0xOzE3MjItMzsxNzEyLTU7MTcxNC0xf A==

sorry to make that link so long. Shadowstep with +dmg talents

Anyhow, I imagine this:

The gates open to <insert arena name here>

I would have my three rogues obviously stealthed and looking for healer. I would locate the healer and sprint all my toons to him, just for a sap. Then shadowstep to the next cloth wearer (or leather). Rogue1 apply's cheapshot.
Ambush with talents gives... :!: :!: :!: 50% chance to crit,
the ability to give 3 combo points,
+30+% crit dmg 20% more dmg ignores 580 armor (if gear does not add to that) and attacks made out of stealth have 10% dmg (master of subtlety)
Last but not least Shadowstep increases ambush by 20% more dmg.. leaving me at 50% more dmg

Ambush (and all of its pluses) + immediate eviscerate (3 combo points and 15% more dmg)... if i have to, (assasination talents will replenish my energy) backstab (with 40+% more dmg).
Ambush, eviscerate, backstab is sure to kill a cloth wearer with 2 rogues ambushing, 3 rogues eviscerate and backstab.

Given that all goes right and the first clothy is dead. I would vanish and run away to set up kill#2 (for this example kill#2 is plate wearer...warrior if you will)
Before kill #2 i would use premeditation and apply 2 combo points to the target. Before going for the kill i would hit preparation and reset all my cool downs.

Again sap healer (new rogue, full duration sap)
Shadowstep, cheap shot (rogue1), Ambush (rogue 2,3), Eviscerate(rogue1=4cp|rogue2=potentially 4cp|rogue3= potentially4cp), Backstab (if needed rogue1,2,3). If plate wearer is not dead at this point, Apply Evasion and finish off kill.

Third target is open for kill, doesn't stand a chance.

/win

Maybe not 10/10 wins, but i am fairly confident.

Talents that would help with all classes:
Sleight of Hand - 2 / 2
Reduces the chance you are critically hit by melee and ranged attacks by 2% and increases the threat reduction of your Feint ability by 20%.
rogues warriors paladins huntersHeightened Senses - 2 / 2Increases your Stealth detection and reduces the chance you are hit by spells and ranged attacks by 4%. More effective than Heightened Senses (Rank 1). every other class (but only 4% so casters would hurt more, thus more important to kill first)Thats my idea to winning with rogues,

Last two cents of key information
Posions Rogue1 = mind-numbing rogue2= (slows movement speed poison, sry drawing blank) rogue3= """2. Enchants double mongoose, (daggers for ambush)

8| I do realize with s4, resilence will dampen my crit from ambush by possibly 10%. X(

:!: :!: :!: But Please Let Me Hear Your Opinions, What Could I Add :!: :!: :!:

I've been thinking about this myself :)

personally I would do it slightly differently :)

First of all I'm guessing you want all of them to be shadowstep :) it's an amazing talent ^^

so on that basis:

Start with1 Rogue ('http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/rogue/talents.html?tal=025300104000000000000300000000000 0000000000000502530300301213501351') = Stunlock - Cheap Shot opener! then Hemo and Kidneyshot as a finisher. cycle :)

2nd rogue ('http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/rogue/talents.html?tal=025300125000000000000000000000000 0000000000003500530300321003501351') Debuffer - Starts with Garrote (prevents a mage from blinking out of your cheap shot!) - SS as combo point builder - expose armour as first finisher - then switch to evi

3rd rogue ('http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/rogue/talents.html?tal=025203105000000000000000000000000 0000000000000520530302321003401351') - Main damage dealer - Starts with ambush - backstab as main combo point builder - and evi as finisher

I personally would be using the 3rd rogue as my main (you can position yourself better if you are constantly trying to be behind the mob/player)

or something along those lines :) specs were just off the top of my head and could be tweaked! :)

I do like the idea of that

With cast sequence macros would really make the team better, i have to learn out to do that.

But between me and deceased, maybe we have the system perfect! 84 views no other replies,

Cant wait... (comon leave your opinions, i know you have em)

My 2c

1) Save sprint for when you get someone down to minimal hp and they try to run away
2) If theres any humans you are trying to sap, use a distract once you are close to them cause Perception is really OP :)

Interested to see how you get along :)

I don't want to bring you down, but I think you're being a little overoptimistic on these scenarios, personally.

To wit, consider:

I would have my three rogues obviously stealthed and looking for healer. I would locate the healer and sprint all my toons to him, just for a sap. Then shadowstep to the next cloth wearer (or leather). Rogue1 apply's cheapshot.Ambush (and all of its pluses) + immediate eviscerate (3 combo points and 15% more dmg)... if i have to, (assasination talents will replenish my energy) backstab (with 40+% more dmg). Ambush, eviscerate, backstab is sure to kill a cloth wearer with 2 rogues ambushing, 3 rogues eviscerate and backstab.

First off, I assume you are going to try to get to #3 above asap, because once you sap everybody's going to be on their guard doing everything they can to flush you out. SS is a little finicky about getting in for some of those SS->ambush/CS/whatever combos in my experience. Maybe your lag is better or something, but it's not a given that I can get that off every time.

But suppose you do, you're looking at the following energy consumption: 10 (SS) + 60 (ambush) + 35 (evis) + [possibly] 60 (bs) = 165 energy. I'll give you two energy ticks (generous), so that brings it back to 125. If Relentless Strikes procs (what other "assassination talents" are you referring to?), and it seems to have a 20% chance the way I'm seeing it (ambushing slaves), you get back to 100. It is possible, but the amount of things that have to happen make it something I wouldn't want to rely on. Take the BS out and you can probably rely on it, but I doubt you're going to be able to time your energy ticks just right after doing all that, so even that's not given.

The achiles heal of all melee boxing teams is positioning. One of the reasons this works as well as it does for us all is that casters don't need fine-grained positioning - pretty good will do. Melee classes, and particularly dagger rogues (probably preeminently so in this game) rely heavily on just that, manuvering yourself to the exact position. I know you've plotted this out in your head in such a way that you feel you can overcome the disadvantages, and good on you. There's a lot of people here, myself close to the top, who'd love to run 5 rogues around for some pvp. I just think you need to remember that ALL pvp is chaotic and you almost NEVER can rely on what you want happening, happening.

That said, I wish you luck and hope it works out well. Keep us posted if you decide to do it.

Diminishing returns on sap is based on the target, not the one applying it. So the second sap on the healer would not be full duration regardless of which rogue applied it.

I rolled a new team recently, consisting of 5 rogues (one is sitting at 37 so 4 will join him at that level).
I am finding it extremely easy to just run through mobs and spam my sinister strike / follow macro.

Hope this helps:

#showtooltip sinister strike
/target focustarget
/startattack
/cast sinister strike
/follow focus

We'll see how far they get and if they are any good in PVP ;)
