Hey there.

I'm not all new to the multiboxing, but I've started reading a bit more about it and got a fix idea I thought.´

I normally ran 3 games on the same game, but read in all these posts on this forum that it would be a very nice idea to make multiple maps, 1 for each toon.

So here I was thinking jaiii 4 games

1 for main´s setup (how I like them and with the add-ons I like for when I single play them)

and for multiboxing

1 for toon1

1 for toon2

1 for toon3

So i made keyclone start up my games 3 on same screen/computer, different cpu´s and all that...works really nice.

Problem is now that even though my game Main setup is on d/hardisk /wow main, after I've been playing my toon games c/hardisk/program files/wow toon 1,2 and 3 it moves around my bars/spells on the /d disk.

I use bongos on the toons and trinity bar on my main..its 2 different games in different folders on different hard disks..so anyone got any idea of WHY my toon setup saves itself in my main game ?

I have been a bit around to try to figure this out and I'm sorry if I've already missed it somewhere else. I'm not to good with computers and such...and before I tried to figure out something like this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_symbolic_link ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forum/js/'http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/mhtml:%7B62A3D110-7C16-424C-BFBC-1CD6849E87D5%7Dmid://00000010/!x-usc:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NTFS_symbolic_link IF its even that post has even anything to do with my problem I thought it would be a good idea to ask here.

Can anyone confirm or defirm that the link ive postet is what woul fix my problem pls ?

And ill try to figure out what its all about.

Thx upfront :P

I had the same issue. There is probably a simpler was of doing it but I deleted the contents of the saved variables folder (where addon info is saved) on each account and redid my UI on each toon.

However, I now run all my clones and my main from 1 wow folder (with a seprate wow folder for when I'm not multiboxing) and I have not had any issues with lag or anything and since bindings are saved per character (assuming you check the 'character specific only' box in bongos' bindings page) they all retain thier own setups.

If you're using the symlink/junction point thing, you only want to link your DATA folder in the WoW directory. Everything else you'll want to leave separate, or you will experience profiles/screenshots and other things overwriting each other.

Hope it helps someone else with same problem.
