View Full Version : [wow]profesions?
I'm lvling a priest and a lock atm. The priests is a tailor+enchanting. But I cant figure out what to do with the lock. I would like to go tailor but I dont think I can afford it. I'm thinking of going skinning just to make money but I'm not sure what 2nd I should go for.
If I went herb/mining I couldn't see the nodes on the map since my main is the priest =/.

You can find a decent amount of info on the site using search.
Tailoring is a great choice, as farming cloth is easy enough.
For gathering professions use a Mod like Gatherer, and have it on both accounts. It can link the data for new hits to guildies and group members. Thus problem solved for seeing the nodes. Though it is easier on the main to gather than on a clone.
With just a twosome I would say go mining or herbalism over skinning. Though if you're like me, maybe you can't stand the thought of free money rotting on the ground. :(
Getting your own herbs means cheaper pots, mining can turn into having ore prospected into gems for cheaper cuts.

With my priest and 2 locks I have skinning for the priest and enchanting for one of the locks. When I get them to 70 they will all go tailoring for the high level sets.
Enchanting is mainly for disenchanting items from dungeon runs. Skinning is so I can tell with my main whether a looted body (if they are skinnable) has a quest item for an alt. I don't actually take the time to skin anything.
I'm shunning professions for the most part until I get my team to 70 and make them all tailors. Maybe I will go back and pick gathering skills and spend a few days leveling them up. Right now I just don't want to be slowed down and bothered by it.
