View Full Version : Temporarily suspending Do-not-pass lists?

Now that I've started playing battlegrounds regularly, I've been trying to change from a two-PC 1+4 client setup to running all clients on one PC, so that I can more easily switch mains when one gets killed.

Previously, I just kept WASD unbound on my four clone clients, which meant I could still use those keys for typing stuff in. Now I need to keep them bound to movement for when I switch main, so I've started using Octopus' keys list to prevent WASD being broadcasted. The problem is, I now can't use WASD when I want to type stuff in. Is there a way to temporarily suspend do-not-pass key lists?

Also, I use CTRL+F1 to CTRL+F5 to swap my clients into the main region. I also have these key combos bound in game to macros that change the focus to whichever toon just became the main. The problem is that the client that just became main only seems to receive F1-F5 without CTRL, and the macro doesn't get run. Any reason for this?

PS. I know Skarlot isn't supporting Octopus any more, so I'm just hoping anyone else could possibly assist.

I've just noticed that a "pass all keys" toggle was added to 1.3.3 (I'm running 1.3.2) so that fixes the first of my problems.

I changed my window swapping keys to F8-F12, which has given me a workaround to my second problem.

wow seems to drop the mod state when brought to the foreground. easy fix, send keys first, do the pip switch after.
im dropping new features and stuff like X doesn't work, where X is hard to fix.
they'll prolly be another build or 2 still!

I'm finding that even without modifier+key being used to swap windows, I still have to press the key a second time to get the ingame macro to run on the two windows that swapped.
